Ok, so after my food inventory list. I went to Lido with my dh and spent 40 pounds on a HUGE stock of tins and meat and fridge stuff..
Came home, had some lunch and went back out on my own to get some more shopping..
When I got to SM's I wandered around and saw that there were more offers that were good to have so I drew out 20 of next weeks money and used £10 to add to the £7=£17 and shopped some more.. I used the other 10 as my 2nd purse money and bought some beans (!!!) 4 tins for a pound rather than 2 pounds. I will obviously charge full price when i buy back! Also got some cereal on offer..
We have just smiled because our fridge and cupboards are full to bursting now and we are happy...:T
Love the analogy of a ramble, would love to meet up with butties and a flask!!!
Thanks everyone xxxx

Well I'm finally joining in :j
I've started with £10 in my 2nd purse and have been to A1di this morning to get stock. I've bought a selection of things we buy regularly to start me off at a cost of £12.25.
From these, I have already bought back DW tabs, cotton buds and coffee for £5.00 (cost was £4.13, so a small profit), plus I'm adding £1 for the weekly laundry, so a total of £6 paid back to 2nd purse.
So that's: £10 - £12.25 + £6.00 = £3.75 now in the 2nd purse.
Stockpile value = £13.96 (excl laundry)
That makes sense to me, so I hope I'm doing it right;).
It feels good to get started :T.

Please help me as the more I think about this challenge and how it works the more I confuse myself!!!
The question I have now is this:
If I buy stock from SM on BOGOF do I put them all in my MunniMart shop and then buy the first one to put in my cupboard, or do I put 3 in the shop, one in the cupboard and don't pay anything to my 2nd purse for the first two (as these are effectively already paid for) but then pay for the free ones?
Everyone seems to get it, so why can't I?Thanks for your help

I found it confusing at first, what I did was, if I needed an item and it was on BOGOF I would buy out of my first purse for the items from the super, then put one in my cupboard to use straight away and the second in my store, when I needed the second one I would pay full price for it in my store..................hope this helps

Hi Munnimuncha - it's hard to get your head round it definitely - it took me days!!
I think if you buy something BOGOF or on special offer with your 2nd purse money, you put all items in your stock and then buy each item with your grocery money from your stock as you need the items, putting the money into your 2nd purse. For example I bought 1kg chicken this week from Lido for £5.99 from my 2nd purse. I needed half of the chicken this week, so bought this for £3.99 (the normal Lido price for 500g) from my stock, putting £3.99 out of my grocery budget into my 2nd purse. Hope this makes sense !!Pay debt in 2012 #278 £2347/£5364

I agree with Sue
this is how i would do it. If i'm doing my grocery shop and i buy a BOGOF out of the grocery budget then i will take the one i need as i've paid for it out of budget already and the other into stock.
If i was paying for it all out of my second purse money that had been allocated then i would buy it from the grocery budget at full price HTHMORTGAGE BALANCE when we moved Aug 2024, £120,000. Yet your 1st purse has only paid what it would having to buy at current prices in the SM
