So I put £25 in my second purse and it's all gone! In fact went a bit over, but as I have bought from MunniMart already I am £.96 :jin credit in purse 2. Tried explaining the concept to my friend today who is sooooooooo NOT a moneysaver and she laughed at me for being so anal. I just said to her that next time she moans at me coz her shopping was so many hundreds of pounds don't come crying to me :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: He who laughs last .......;)When you were born, you were crying and everyone around was smiling. Live your life so at the end, you're the one who is smiling and everyone around you is crying!:rotfl:

A quick question - regarding your signature and how you show your purse 2 into it - I have now had £20 real cash to it, but the balance is £2.48 - however if I add up all the stock I have I have a lot more than the £20 value - but not until I have bought it back iykwim. By tomorrow my cash could be nil but the stock will be more - how should I reflect purse 2 ? Crikey - if that makes any sense to anyone it will be a wonder - many thanks.
I put £20 in my 2nd purse and spent £15.70 so I have £4.30 left which is what I have put in my signature. I haven't taken account of the value of my stock. I will make a list of everything I buy from my store and transfer money once a week and update my signature. hope that all makes sense!saving for ds2's summer international scout camp - £200

Ok, so after my food inventory list. I went to Lido with my dh and spent 40 pounds on a HUGE stock of tins and meat and fridge stuff..
Came home, had some lunch and went back out on my own to get some more shopping..
When I got to SM's I wandered around and saw that there were more offers that were good to have so I drew out 20 of next weeks money and used £10 to add to the £7=£17 and shopped some more.. I used the other 10 as my 2nd purse money and bought some beans (!!!) 4 tins for a pound rather than 2 pounds. I will obviously charge full price when i buy back! Also got some cereal on offer..
We have just smiled because our fridge and cupboards are full to bursting now and we are happy...:T
Love the analogy of a ramble, would love to meet up with butties and a flask!!!
Thanks everyone xxxx0/4500 -
We also went to Lido...
3 x finish dishwasher tabs 26 + 26 free £3.75 (normally £7.50 for 26)
Im confused? Were the boxes of 26 doubled up or was it a case of taking 2 boxes? I went to Lido's late this afternoon and got 2x1L bottles of olive oil for £2.99 each-listed at Polkadot Palace for £3.75, as this is what I normally get from Mr T.
Also got penquins-packets of 18 (9 plus 100% free) =2 for 2.50-so bought 4 packets which gives us 72 for £5 so about 7p each. DS1 has 1 in his school lunch box every day. Will buy them back for £2.25.
I looked for the finish, but could only find boxes 0f 26 for the £3.75 and they didnt have the 100% banner on that the other stuff had? I do have a £3.50 voucher for Mr T and a £1.50 till spit from there so Im wondering if I should just use these to get the 52 box @ £12.98 which will then cost me £7.95-but them Im wondering if that would be considered a waste of the £3.50 voucher?
This brings my total to £8something (I did just update signature and will put in another £10 on Tuesday (my £10 child tax credit payment comes on Tuesdays and Ive budgeted this for 2nd purse) and its current value is £25.58:D I am liking this "game".
Now Im trying to decide if I want to take the plunge and post on the GC thread because I spent £110 between Lido and Mr S (weekly grocery budget is £60, but I didnt check at Lido's my beef joints were £4.00/kg-DH had told me to get 2 so he can do some beef mince, some cubes and some boerewors. It was only when I was going through the till I realised that the two joints I had picked up were around 2.5kgs-so 5kgs of beef joint and I got the spare rib special-then at Mr S I got loads of meat too so when I got home and we were unpacking I realised that we have closer to a months food,so will only need to top up.
I havent really shopped at Mr S properly in abput 3 years but they do seem to be beating the others for offers and I just "felt better" in the store.I also bought the magazine to look for any coupons-Ive not really done coupons before so this too is a learning curve.0 -

The boxes on offer were 26 with 100% free, so this made them 52. There was a massive plinthe with them on at the front of the store when we went in. They have a banner across the top which is in yellow. Did your store not have these?
No:( They just had the boxes of 26 with no banners. There were banners on both the loo roll and the penguins,so thats what I was looking for. The plinthe at the front of "our" store had the olive oil on it.I might go back tomorrow just to have another look.I did get dishwasher tablets from Mr S because we are really low-their offer was £5.25 for 39 tablets.0 -

have you double checked the website for your area? Bit rubbish if they're not on offer there, although I know some stores do have different offers sometimes for example meat.
Just double checked the box, Finish all in 1 powerball 26+26 with a yellow banner saying "100% extra free"Diary: Getting back on track for 2013 and beyondDEBT FREE 13-10-13 :dance::dance::dance::dance:

Yay, I'm in. :j:j:j
#38 reporting for duty.
Is it ok to check what I have and include this before I start? I have washing liquid and fairy softener that I bought from Mr S when they were on offer. Can roughly remember the prices and obviously will charge myself more when I need to buy from my store.
Bit slow but where do I get the spreadsheet template from or do I have to make my own?
Sorry to be a bit dim but am excited about having my own shop and want to get it right.:rotfl::rotfl:
Many thanks
