Youre welcome Helen. I also got a sleeve photo album in £land and some index tabs from the st@ples to make a coupon organiser as I normally end up throwing them out coz I let them expire...also small enough for my handbag.0

Thank you for the replies to my query :]
I have another question - I get what some of the abbreviated SM names are but I'm stuck with;
MrC [could that be C@stc@] Co-op
MrMS [could that be M&$] Yes, M&S :T
MrI - no idea!! Iceland
Hope that helps - we do love out abbreviations here at MSE, dont we???0 -

Also Diced chicken for a curry using your sauce and rice
Make a yorkshire mix and add your sausages for toad in the hole, serve with mash and gravy
Chips, fishfingers and mushy peas
Fish pie - use your cod in the freezer
Tuna, Pasta bake - i think you'll need some apple juice, but check the old style boardSPC No 002 SPC(3) £285/£250 (4) £519.84/£500 (5) £768.32/£500 (6) £911.30/£600 (7) £913.23/£600 (8) £1184.82/£750 (9) £2864.04/£750 (10) £3846.25/£1000 (11) £1779.72/£1000 (12) £1596.55/£1000 (13) £1534.70/£1000 (14) £775.60/£1000 (15) £700.20/£1000 (16) £2081.34/£1000 (17) £1691.15/£1000 (18) £225/£10000 -

Oh no, I've done that thing that you're not supposed to do! I've gone mad bulk buying things in the shops today and now my poor little shop is in debt! It's only a few £s as I picked up a few whoopsies to freeze. Must try harder next time!2nd Purse #036 £46.69/£50.00

Well I've just been and bought my olive oil (I got funny looks for buying 7.5litres). The woman was a right jobsworth though, printing off the receipt and counting my trolley before I paid. She even got a coupon for £5 off the newborn starter kit overwritten by her supervisor when my sister paid so it was only £3!!! I now owe my 2nd purse money as I went over budget...oops, but I have money from fleabay to cover this and it was all items I will use so...
6 x filippo berio olive oil £3 each (normally £4.50 each)
4 x filippo berio extra virgin olive oil £3 each (normally £4.68 each)
both Mr A
They'd put the smaller bottles right next to the bigger ones which I thought was really naughty, especially as they were the same price. I almost was conned by it but I checked the sizes, my sister wasn't too happy with their sneaky tactics either.
We also went to Mr T (twice as they only had 1 box left)...
4 x 360g maltesers £2 (normally £4) - dads presents for the year sorted
2 x cadbury creme eggs 12 pack £2.75 (normally £6) (cheaper than buying 80p choc for every long distance drive I do)
big toblerone £2 (normally £4)
We also went to Lido...
3 x finish dishwasher tabs 26 + 26 free £3.75 (normally £7.50 for 26) - for parents place so not to be counted in my totals but comes out of personal spending money.
Soo....
So far I've spent £123.39 on items, my stockpile is worth £161.16.
Please could you all add the 2nd purse to your signature and update your totals into their so I can keep a count. We now have 40 members and, although I read every post, it will be easier for me on a Sunday evening to look up all your signatures for totals, especially when I start my new job and will be online a lot less(I will get a smartphone, you won't miss me too much
)
Remember this is meant to ease the pressure and even Alan Sugar started his "shops" small. You don't need to buy up every offer that's going, only buy what you use already. Discount your shop if you're 1st purse is feeling the pinch. This is not a race, it's a bit of a slow ramble with lovely people, some run ahead then come back to catch up again, some stay at a steady pace, some walk a bit slower. There is no finish line, only rewards on the way. There is absolutely NO failure here and I won't hear of itDiary: Getting back on track for 2013 and beyondDEBT FREE 13-10-13 :dance::dance::dance::dance:

I put £20 into my second purse to start it off. I bought
5 x cheese @ £1.64
2 x Finish dishwasher tablets @ £3.75
both half price from Lid*
so I have £4.30 left.
now I need to start buying my stock to replenish my second purse!
kerri I agree it's not a race and alot of it is trial and error and a learning curve. Just the fact that we have all decided to do this is great and keep the profits out of the supermarkets.saving for ds2's summer international scout camp - £200

Oh another good idea I'm gonna pinch as I find coupons lying around when they've gone out of date and that REALLY annoys me, starting to feel thick now cos I didn't think of things like that for myself lol. Thank youfozziebeartoo wrote: »Hope that helps - we do love out abbreviations here at MSE, dont we???

Hello Everyone
Just popping in to update.....I had 'overspent' a little in my 2nd purse in my first week as I bought a few items at C0$tco but am paying £10 a week into my 2nd purse, plus I've just transferred £25 in from my GC budget as I am currently £32 underspent in January and will only buy a few bits n bobs in the three days that are left for me.
I'm also buying from my store (the Tardis) now :j so have a balance of £20.77 in my 2nd Purse.
Thanks for all the hints Mothership, for all the work you put in Kerri, welcome to the Newbies and a big hug to those who are struggling a bit......stick with it, it is SO worth it0 -
Evening all - wow, everyone is doing a fantastic job and its lovely being part of this little band who are trying to beat the sm's and make a profit for their shop!!
A quick question - regarding your signature and how you show your purse 2 into it - I have now had £20 real cash to it, but the balance is £2.48 - however if I add up all the stock I have I have a lot more than the £20 value - but not until I have bought it back iykwim. By tomorrow my cash could be nil but the stock will be more - how should I reflect purse 2 ? Crikey - if that makes any sense to anyone it will be a wonder - many thanks.I'm not a failure if I don't make it, I'm a success because I :tried!0
