jakes-mum, i think its a great idea to save towards christmas first - you know its going to happen and at least this year you will be prepared, then, if they only ask for something cheap (well you can wish!) you could still get your actifry.I'm not a failure if I don't make it, I'm a success because I :tried!0

Jakes-mum - I too was saving up for an actifry, but have changed my mind three times since doing 2P. I have bought a meat slicer (know you have too?) and a vacuum sealer. I was then going to buy a breadmaker but now I have £180+ in 3P am really loathed to spend it at all now:rotfl::rotfl:When you were born, you were crying and everyone around was smiling. Live your life so at the end, you're the one who is smiling and everyone around you is crying!:rotfl:

Yes I bought a meat slicer too (though not with 3rd Purse :shhh:) I did giggle at the end bit as you sound just like me :rotfl: What do I want kitchen appliances for when I can sit here and count all those £5 notes :rotfl:SPC No 002 SPC(3) £285/£250 (4) £519.84/£500 (5) £768.32/£500 (6) £911.30/£600 (7) £913.23/£600 (8) £1184.82/£750 (9) £2864.04/£750 (10) £3846.25/£1000 (11) £1779.72/£1000 (12) £1596.55/£1000 (13) £1534.70/£1000 (14) £775.60/£1000 (15) £700.20/£1000 (16) £2081.34/£1000 (17) £1691.15/£1000 (18) £225/£10000 -
I have sorted purses out and now 3rd Purse has £111!! :j
I am going to stick at £40 float for SP, I dont really want to have more than that at my disposal......I am too easily tempted to spend it
I now have (I think) a working spreadsheet and was planning on sorting out Sallys Stores and working out how much stock I have.....
I want to know the answer.
But dont think I can be bovvered to put in the effort to find out!! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:0 -
Well done Fozzie for your money in 3P. I have my spreadsheet set up so it tells me at any given time how much stock I have - could you do that for yours which would make it alot easier for you.
If you haven't got this on your spreadsheet, I would just go to one of the supermarkets and put in your stock and see how much it is selling for and then add that to a column on your spreadsheet. Then when you add stuff into Sally's Stores or take something out, adjust your stock level and, voila, your stock will be adjusted accordingly.

Hi everyone - I'm still here too, although sometimes I don't have anything interesting to say so I just read and run
I just looked at the front page and there's 59 members of this challenge and probably only about a dozen of us still post. Do you think everyone else is buried under their stockpile mountains :rotfl:
AF order should be coming sometime this week. Purse totals not looking too shabby :j

I am still here!
I only got my head round the SP in May so kept a record of what I used and paid my SP and TP at the beginning of June.
I don't do spreadsheets so can't keep as good a total as everyone on here but I set my own prices and amounts to put in TP. I am sure I am doing it totally wrong but it gives me money in my SP and savings in my TP.
Both SP and TP were at £30 this morning then OH went to Lid* this morning and spent the lot (and more:eek:) but we are now well stocked up
I too have an AF order coming next week - have no idea where it all going to go!
Now I am back on track with second pursing I hope to post a bit moresaving for ds2's summer international scout camp - £200
£60 deposit paid :j £100 paid:j £40 paid:j0 -

I am still here as well. I love the 2nd purse system, escpecially how it allows me to obsessively hunt for bargains then buy lots of them because I can. I also think it has calmed down my shopping rage quite alot as well. I used to get really angry when a deal would end and I would have to pay full price again or if I didn't have enough to buy lots of a really good deal but now I don't have that. It's great!!!!.
As for how much I pay back, I pay what I think the item is worth so sometimes it is the price I paid which is why it is taking a while for my float to build up to the £100 level I want it at.
Anyway sorry for the ramble.

Not been on for a while, I've got so many pages to read to catch up. What with family problems and trying to get the planting finished, I decided to remove some trees from a part of the garden that was overgrown, Its north facing and I raked 7 black bags of moss from the grass, removing the trees has let some sun in. I've still a lot to do , but getting there.
I'm so happy to see some of you are rapidly filling up your cupboards and your purses. Every time I transfer money to the 3rd purse I feel as though I've achieved something. I can understand some of you not wanting to spend it, you worked hard to get it. One of the good things about this system is it makes you aware just how much of our money the SMKT's get from us, my wee ISA has £6,100 in it now, thats just since I joined MSE . I was feeling quite chuffed about that until I realised I can double that figure, there's still the other £200 per month that gets put aside for utility bills. And on top of that the £200 GB is still filling up the 3rd Purse for treats etc.
I've had a funny month, DD2 has been having most of her and DGD's meals here, so she has paid for my shopping for the past month. I didn't do any 2nd Purse shopping as she'd have tried to pay for that too, so I've only spent about £20 from my May GB, and nothing from my purses, so by the time I do my May totals things should be looking pretty good.
I have missed you all, looking forward to a good read and catching up with all your posts.
