Hi
I would like to join in please. We are planning on taking the children to blackpool for half term in October to see the lights and would like to save for that. My second purse will be £50 and then third purse I am aiming for £150.
I have a huge stock of food etc already which I have bought when deals have been on so will pay to second purse anything I use up from that.
I put £10 in my purse on 1st June and have spent £3.40 already. Will put £2 back in for the frozen summer fruits that I started using yesterday which only cost £1 in iceland.
Will track back and see what ideas everyone else has.
Welcome, you will find a great bunch of friends here:rotfl:2nd purse £50.00
3rd purse £100.00

I needed tissues, kitchen roll etc from Sallys Stores so have balanced up purses again.....and paid for all the ice creams eaten over the long b/h weekend
Still have my £40 float (not going to increase that any more) and now 3rd Purse is up to £136 again :j0 -
Apologies to those who also follow the June GC thread. Stocked up on Warburton sliced rolls today as they were 4p for a pack of 6 in MrT (dated 7.6.12). I bought 12 packs of 6, as I use these for packed lunches. They are lovely and soft when defrosted and no crusts for the children to leave
So a total of 48p spent from my 2nd purse and I will charge myself 20p per roll so £14.40 will go back in

Well I'm off on my jollies at the parents, so they are feeding me *sniggers* well they're feeding me all the lovely DR meat I order for them, and they pay me backjust ordered them some more sausages at £18 for 48, and ordered 4 sirloin steaks for £36 with the 20% discount, oh and cashback.
No idea how my purses are doing at the moment though, I know I don't need anything so have poured all money into debt repayment. But whilst I'm down here I've downloaded an app to the tablet that allows me to mealplan. I'm going to use that from now on so I know exactly what I need to be buying from the SMs and won't ever have the "ahh what to eat" moments
Welcome aboard Maisie, and Flying Fresian I have added your new spend to the front page, I bet you were relieved you had the 3rd purse when it came to your week off and found you actually did have some money

So sorry that I haven't posted on here for months - really struggle with the time but I've kept at it! Have made a few changes to my system though, having had to use my 3rd purse money to bail me out of a dire situation. Now I''m just buying stock back at the price I paid for it which is consistently keeping my grocery bills down. More than half of my shoppping comes from the loft shop now and I reckon I'm saving over £100 - £150 month. Very happy with this, just hope noone views this as failing. Sorry not to contribute - will try harder because I'm so grateful to you all for being there when I need some inspiration - THANK YOU xx
ps signature is way out of date - will tackle that soon. Have £500 stock : )0 -

Its not a failure at all! its a system that works for you, your shop, your prices. The most important thing is that 2nd pursing IS bringing down your food bill and saving you moneyWell done on the £500 stock I can never get past £250 as ive got 3 greedy guts in my house who keep eating it all :rotfl:
