I find it mind boggling that a complete stranger can dump their car on your drive and it's a "civil matter" so effectively there's nothing you can do about it!

Thank you pinkteapot, I am gobsmacked too! Very wrong indeed :/

Very surprised that your local force was going to send "someone out" as it isnt a police matter - do you know anyone who could "block in" the offending vehicle for you and leave a note on that vehicle with your address on saying something like "pls knock at number X and vehicle will be moved" That way, the offender has to come to you ;)

They have spoken to me a few times on the phone, maybe I've been lucky that they are trying to help me? But yes I understand they don't have to.

Can't do that, or I so would have! The '3rd' car would obstruct the path and probably stick out onto the road! But loooovvvvee that idea haha :P

In that case, as previously suggested, the owner would come back to it and discover 4 very flat tyres :p

Hire a hi-ab to remove it by lifting it off your drive. Relocate it to some nearby yellow lines and ring the local parking office.

    Job done.

When the owner comes forward blaming you for their parking tickets, hit them with a written intent of legal action and recovery of costs :D

Is that not just going to delay them leaving the drive?
Spiting myself then really aren't I?

This shows the spaces. Where the black car is, the trees have been cut back, ground has been cemented and now there is more room.
Can't get a up to date picture.

Theoretically the 'black car is the obstruction' my car is in front of that. With 2 alongside (even if these moved i'm still stuck)

To be honest id shut the effing thing out of the way, even if it causes an obstruction on the road....even better then as the police / council would have to remove it causing the t*at that parked it there a nightmare.

Alternatively get a big chain and even bigger lock and chain all 4 wheels up, then get a nice big gummed lable and stick it on the windscreen saying car has been immobilised, eff their day up see how they like it.

DON'T TELL PEOPLE TO DO THAT.

You have to be an SIA licensed vehicle immobiliser to immobilise a vehicle otherwise anyone who does so can get a criminal conviction you IDIOT.

So the LL has tarmac'd a bit of waste ground? Are you sure that he owns it? Does it go around to the rear of the houses?

Call all the local scrapyards and tell them a car has been abandoned on your property. It'll be gone in 5 minutes.
