It is an offence to park on a public highway, obstructing the access to a private driveway, thereby preventing the person who has lawful right to have access to the driveway from driving out onto the public highway, but, strangely, it is not an offence to obstruct the access to the driveway thereby preventing the person from driving into the driveway from the public highway.

I would strongly advise anyone against detaining another person's vehicle that has parked on private land, attempting to "bounce" it out of the way or letting down the tyres, as any damage caused could give rise to a claim for compensation against those responsible or possible prosecution for Criminal Damage. Detaining a vehicle without lawful reason or reasonable excuse is illegal. And detaining a vehicle simply because it is obstructing your driveway is not lawful reason or reasonable excuse.
