Blocked in by a car, parked on MY drive :@

Hello!

Between me and my 2 neighbours we share 7 parking spaces (students, total 18 people but most don't drive).

Each house has one 'driveway space' each where a normal front garden would be. Then to the side of our houses there are 4 more parking spaces.. on land owned by our landlord, belonging to us (Sign posted as private, do not park).

The layout of these 4 is in a square.. Just like below.

ROAD ] HERE HERE
ROAD ] HERE HERE (I'm parked here)

Yesterday I parked in the corner.. so I can be blocked in. Not a problem because I can just ask my neighbours to move their car when I want to go out. A neighbour came round today to tell me I was blocked in by a car that wasn't theirs, I asked the other neighbours and it's not theirs either!

100% doesn't belong to any of us :)

So I am blocked in my a blue car, I want to go out and there is no chance of me doing this! The road I live on you can only park for 30 minutes before getting a ticket.. could be someone trying to get a free park for the day?! :(

Or could belong to the squatters that have set up camp on the field 100m away last night?? Do squatters have cars??

Any ideas, I want to go out. Who can get rid of this car for me? It has happened before! Going to try and speak to the traffic warden, they walk up the street alot..

Thanks for any advice! :j

They'll probably say it's a "civil matter", but worth a go I guess.

Have you spoken to the landlord to make sure it's nothing to do with him?
Me personally I'd do the above, then lay something soft over my front bumper and push the thing into the road.

Everything is on private land so doubt police would be interested as it is not even a proper drive. Also by design the rear cars are blocked in so it would not be obstruction as it is by design

    landlord could sue for trespass

Have phoned, the car isn't local but they will continue trying to find some details on it and call me back :)

Definitely not the landlords, hmm not sure about the second suggestion.. bit dangerous pushing it into the road and don't want to cause any damage! I'm so annoyed though!

It will cost you about £12 to hire one for a day, its the easiest way ro move a locked car, unless you a few big friends who can 'bounce' it out of the way.

Yes I could try the large friend idea actually.. will wait and see if the police call me back and if they can't do anything (they wanted to contact the owner) this is the plan!
