    Lidl had loose roasted & salted pistachio nuts sold by weight yesterday, they are lovely! They are bigger and far tastier than from a snack bag.

    The 5 year old vatted malt whisky is excellent. Much better than Bells, Grouse etc and it is cheaper too.

    Now they have whisky on offer in T Bell's etc for 15 pounds for a lt is this whisky a better buy? Need to get one for my next door neighbour see thank you .

    Thought I would give them a try as I have no frozen peas left.
    I Wish I had never bothered , they were gross, horrible colour and they were hard, still lesson learned won't buy them again!

    These must surely have been the everyday ones?? The Four Seasons ones are only about 10p more and are identical to Birds Eye.

    I dont like the lidl instore bakery either, their baguettes are in a word, horrible, really spongy, you get much better in Asda.

    Agreed.

    Lidl's much-hyped (on this site) in-store bakery came to Wells recently.

    Was really looking forward to it but tried loads of rolls and breads and found them all to be okay but mainly completely tasteless.

    Hmph.

    Has anyone used Lidls washing tablets. I used them for the first time last week and the washing stank :eek:

    Haven't tried the tablets but been using Lidl's powder for years and it smells lovely and gets my washing totally clean every time even though I only ever use half the recommended amount.

    I have been going to Aldi for the last 12 months and been really happy. The only two things we now buy that are branded is my coffee douwe egberts and tetley tea bags...

    Great post but have you tried Aldi's tea bags??

    Only £2 for 160 bags and taste just as nice as Tetley so no need to wait for any special offers!

    No Not tried them. I have tried Yorkshire tea, I have tried Typhoo and keep going back to Tetley. Will try them next time I go shopping. If I don't like will give to the mother in law. It's a running joke at the moment as she ends up with all the tea bags I buy after I end up going back to Tetley. Same with coffee tried most of them and gave them away and stuck with my douwe egberts but I will give them a go, especially if they do taste like Tetley. Think its a childhood thing as my dad was a massive tea drinker and we always had Tetley in the house and it's kind of stuck I think :)

    Indeed, and the Everyday Essentials packs are smaller. So

    Bad = Everyday Essentials, 89p for 907g (98.1p/kg)
    Good = Four Seasons, 99p for 1kg (99p/kg)

    I've always been puzzled as to why they have the two different sorts, given that the prices are virtually identical.
