Normal size Amaretto 500ml is £4.99 but I noticed they were doing a bigger size for Christmas as well, think that one was about £8 but I don't know the size if anyone knows I would be interested
I will be buying some of that and the balycastle Irish cream (decent bailies rip off) £3.99 for Christmas tipples!
Thanks, will have to get a bottle.
Tried the Toro Loco bottle of red wine and its fine.0 -
Really looking forward to our Lidl in store bakery, what a disappointment all self service and obviously not baked on site, Just like the other local supermarkets.0

My Aldi totally sold out of the peanuts & cashews in the green pkt and the lovely xmas puds as recommended by GH. Their frozen cod in batter 4 pieces for £1.99 is very nice, hubbs prefers it to Harry Ramsdens cos the batter isn't as thick on it.xXx-Sukysue-xXx0

How Aldi won the class war - and became the fastest-growing supermarket in Britain. The supermarket is opening its 500th store and its festive fare is beating that of luxury rivals. How has the German giant conquered Middle England?
Aldi has been best known, until recently, for its ultra-low prices and pile-it-high selection of strangely branded baked beans and cornflakes. Bramwells Mayonnaise or Tamova vodka, anyone? But in the past few years, the chain has been winning over an increasing number of upmarket customers. Tomorrow its relentless march into Middle England will be confirmed when its 500th store opens in Bury St Edmunds, the affluent Suffolk market town. This follows hot on the heels of its branch in chi‑chi Knutsford, in George Osborne’s Cheshire constituency.
Verdict, a retail research company, has calculated that last year 12.9 per cent of Aldi’s regular customers were from the A B socioeconomic group – what most people would call “middle class”. That figure has leapt to 18.6 per cent this year.

I have been going to Aldi for the last 12 months and been really happy. I however still had brand loyalty so was still spending a extra 100 month in Tesco. Last month decided to do it all at Aldi and challenge myself to stay out of Tesco and try more products at Aldi. I was happy with all the products. We have even swapped from Pepsi and Coke to Aldi diet cola which if cold it's actually really nice. my weekly shop is now around 50 quid. I am really happy with it for a family of four. The only two things we now buy that are branded is my coffee douwe egberts and tetley tea bags but I always bulk buy them when they are on offer anyway.
We tried the mint and rosemary lamb shanks from Aldi yesterday they were lovely. Frozen 2.99. The kids love their ravioli at 35p. The super six offers are brilliant and saves me loads on the kids fruit for school. I went into Tesco the other day and came out with they Ferrero rocher offer and only bought that so weren't a surprise when they give me a till spit for 9 quid of a 60 quid spend. I will be using it as have some christmas presents to buy but it won't be used on food. My grocery budget is firmly in Aldi's hands.'There are far better things ahead Than any we leave behind '0
