    Xmas Saver!
Has anyone used Lidls washing tablets. I used them for the first time last week and the washing stank
Have gone back to using Tesco ones. But Im not sure if it was a fluke, or the tablets. I now have a box I am too frightened to use, incase it happens again and I have to re-wash the lot again.
  • I always use Aldi's non bio washing tablets, converted my sister to use them too

Thought I would give them a try as I have no frozen peas left.
I Wish I had never bothered , they were gross, horrible colour and they were hard, still lesson learned won't buy them again!

Really looking forward to our Lidl in store bakery, what a disappointment all self service and obviously not baked on site, Just like the other local supermarkets.

I dont like the lidl instore bakery either, their baguettes are in a word, horrible, really spongy, you get much better in Asda.

Were these in the white pack, I bought them and they were really bad. The other frozen peas I have had from there were OK.

Its true of Aldi that you can often see luxury cars (often belonging to pensioners) parked on site. Yet I rarely see anyone in my local Lidl that can be described as ethnically Anglo-Saxon.

I only hope that Aldi's presence in posh towns is a sign that the big guys will be forced to be more competitive with their pricing - but I can't help feeling it will be Aldi that will be able to raise its prices and still be relatively cheap, if I'm making any sense.

How disappointing ! We always have the four seasons ones now.. well ever since birds eye peas became a ridiculous price and really like them. It is a natural product though but...

As Mystery me says I have it at the back of my mind that we tried the ones in the white packet and they were terrible.

May be worth trying the for seasons ones if it was the others.

Just want to say how good we think Lidls dried herbs are much superior to branded ones.

Their white pack of frozen peas.... yes agree totally they are hard as nails no matter how long u boil em for ! lol
But the green packet of, I think they are called four seasons are very nice and by wt the same price as the white packet if my memory serves me right. It is a case of trying stuff out and then being prepared to chuck it away if the stuff is bad however in truth I have not come across very much yet that I had to chuck out. I really like their stuff and the quality is excellent. I bought onion & chive cottage cheese at Aldi's today for 65p the same light choice in T was 2 for £2 or 1.20 each no contest!

The 5 year old vatted malt whisky is excellent. Much better than Bells, Grouse etc and it is cheaper too.
