Aldi Maris Piper extra special chips are best they are £1.79 though.0

Popping in to add Aldi's frozen sweetcorn to a list of Good buys. We are very fussy normally and only like green giant tinned corn but the frozen was either 89 or 99p a bag. It is lovely soft and tasty. Much recommended.
We do but Aldi oven chips and they are ok can't day any remind me of home fries though. Their potato wedges are tasty.0 -
Like the gold roast coffee refill - £1.69 for 150g.
Just transfer the bag into my nice Dowle Egberts Diamond Jubliee jar0 -
aldi have the kg of chicken portions back for £1.69 but where have the bourban biscuits gone ?? havent had them in our aldi for weeks ?onwards and upwards0

I'm especially attracted to
Booze
Wine has become very expensive at Sainsbury's, we actually stopped buying it, and currently stock up once a month at Asda, but I reckon the Aldi range under £5 can give it a run.
Ginger wine, 'baily's and there 4.8% stubbies look decent value
Tom Puree
Olive oil
FR chicken
Bleach
cured meats
Low fat mayo
Porridge oats
etc
all look interesting
Anyone tried their frozen Homefries ?..We currently have aunt Bessies at £2.20/ bag, noted Aldie's are £1
Any rec's ??
I love Aldi wine, the red Toro loco is really nice, and I bought the rose version last week which I have yet to try!
I buy their 'standard' frozen chips for £1 a bag, and my son said how nice the chips were that evening! Very impressed with those, so no more McCains for me! Just planning my next buy from my local Aldi tomorrow
My staples (loads) include, tissues, orange juice, kitchen roll, loo roll, olive margarine, unsalted butter (for cakes!), free range eggs, cereal, milk, bread - white and wholemeal, free range chicken (I have a cooked one in the fridge at the mo, waiting to be included in tonight's evening meal), yogurts, cheese, frozen desserts, and the list goes on!!! Love Aldi!
Sorry just remembered something else regarding Lidl! I don't go there normally, just the feel in the one I go to for some reason I don't like going there (and the staff are very grumpy and disinterested there), but no parking available at the in town Aldi I go to and I needed a few things. I noticed they had a new bakery bit in there, and though most of the things I wanted they had run out of I was looking at some other things there and a woman was picking things up with her hands and asking her husband(?) if he wanted that and putting it back again, she did this several times, needless to say I didn't feel like buying anything then ewwww! They had tongs there to use as well.0 -

Thanks, yes Apple juice and Olive Margerine and kitchen roll ( we seem to use a lot of kitchen roll ! ) I reckon. Will have a look at the frozen fish and sweetcorn too I think.
Hopefully they do tinned red kidney beans.
They have an offer on today for Windscreen protetctors, £1.99, hoping there are some left and mine is pretty grotty and I hate defrosting the car ! I may be tempted by their car seat warmer too for £9.99Over £2K made from bank switches and P2P incentives since 2016 :beer:0 -

Aldi do tinned kidney beans for 21p the last time I bought some. Not too much in the tinned pulses - don't expect tins of black eyed beans etc.0 -
