Aldi Ham trim comes in smoked and baked, got some today but it doesn't look quite as nuce as normal. Speciality Irish Cream at £6.49 is a good sub for Baileys.
Lidls Toffee Vodka is lush too, if you like cream liquors like BaileysPlease forgive me if my comments seem abrupt or my questions have obvious answers, I have a mental health condition which affects my ability to see things as others might.0 -
Oh love toffee vodka, thanks Raksha:Ttoday's mood is brought to you by coffee, lack of sleep and idiots.

We do our main shop at Aldi´s, most of their things are really nice. We buy the yoghurt corners, milk, crumpets, tinned toms, cheese, cereal, eggs, fruit and veg, meat, bacon, pasta, rice etc. all nice.
One thing that disappointed me was their coffee granules, they taste kinda bitter. That was the decaf version though, so Im not sure how the regular one is, might be fine.0 -
Anyone come across a decent wine in Lidl, tried the Toro Loco as suggested on here and was quite nice ( both taste and price @ £3.50 I think ).
Any to avoid.0 -

I LOVE Aldi and get really excited shopping there
( I know). I used to buy the Bourbon biscuits too but they have disappeared now, will have to ask about that one. I do buy the jammy dodgers 49p, other supermarkets are over £1!!. I love the crackers in the red box, tried today their crumpets and they are delicious, my LO wolfed it down (normally doesn't like them). I like the frozen cod also. Bought a black forest stollen to put away for xmas this week.
Can't say I dislike too much from Aldi, I tried a bottle of white wine (well a glass) really didn't like it though.

Wondering if anyone has tried the fresh fish (e.g. salmon) at Aldo/Lido and what it is like? Taste-wise and quality?
Also not sure what the usual price is for say 2 salmon fillets? Compares to other SM?
Normally go to A or L for specific things I've tested and liked but not tried the fish stuffs yet.
Opinions appreciated.

The breaded fresh fish fillets were part of the half-price Mirror vouchers offer the other week. Most people didn't spot that haddock as well as cod was half price so I got both, as there was plenty of haddock left. They were really good.
I have tried the salmon and it was fine, though I usually go for the frozen wild salmon fillets - those came in just this week. Looks like the Bourbon biscuits are back in Aldi now, just picked up some
