Must vary from store to store. Nothing at all reduced in ours.

Of course they will vary regionally dependant upon what surplus stock individual stores are still carrying.

Congratulations on your store for successfully predicting stock/sales levels. I guess they earned their bonus :D

There were NO reductions on anything in our local Aldi today. they were busy restocking the party foods etc and seemed to have only had half their fruit and veg delivery! lucky for me the salad stuff was stocked up! in fact I was looking for a reduced panettone as fancied making that one nigella does with stale Panettone. but there were none to be had - reduced or not!

I actually prefer ALDEES pringle copies, stackers, than normal pringles. The taste is subtler :j

I went in my nearest ALDI early (before noon) on Xmas EVE and almost HALF the SHOP was HALF PRICE.
That equated to about 80% of the fruit, veg and bakery products, most of the fresh poultry (turkey, duck etc.) and the associated Xmas bits (stuffing, pigs in blankets etc.) to just about 100% of the Xmas range of cakes, sweets and chocolates.
Only went in for double cream and coleslaw but ended up spending over £20

  • Anyone tried the Aldi/lidl beef gravy granules? What are they like? Normally buy bisto but might change to the above. Can't see many reviews online.

I'd passed by my nearest in the car on the way out of town around 4pm Christmas Eve.....the car park was a total scrum! Was v pleased not to be part of it.

It's not unknown for me not to eat for a day or two, I think I might try that next Christmas :D

The are not as nice as the bisto brands.
  • If anybody spots any of the specially selected orange glazed gammon joints still around in Aldi, then grab one! I did one on Xmas Day and it was lovely. The left overs eaten cold have been equally nice too. Will definitely watch out for them again.

We tried the Aldi one. No Lidl shops in this area. We did not like the Aldi gravy granules. In fact, we also did not like the Morrisons own brand either. Back to Bisto for me.
