I think ES is the Aldi premium range?

It has to be an improvement on the original, that really wasn't a good product.

Sorry, Aldi, Iceland's Choc/Nut Ice Cream cones are lighter, creamier, more chocolatey, fresher-tasting and have nicer, crispier cones than yours.

And they are cheaper, too (16p each compared to 22p each).
  • The new Extra Special Vanilla Forentine ice cream is gorgeous in my opinion. I know it's a bit late in the year really, but new ice cream flavours are my achillies heel (well, most new foods really... explains the podge)

It just tastes like regular vanilla ice cream to me. I don't get it.

I'm going to read all 5300 posts .... because I'll be getting an Aldi next year :)

I do wish I had an Asda .... and a 24 hour shop..... but I'm glad for what I've got (Mr L) and getting (Mr A).

On the subject of ice cream, I don't think the Extra special range is dairy? I wonder why not as they charge so much more for it. I would rather have natural ingredients than loads of chemicals. Other than that I am a fan of Aldi.

The Aldi Moser & Roth Luxurious Chocolate Selection has reappeared for Christmas - 212g £1.50.

Doubtless the suppliers vary from time to time, but I'm pretty sure they're Thorntons at the moment. Not exactly Hotel Chocolat, but very good for the price.

Moser Roth doesn't taste anything like Thorntons to me! Much better ;)

  • I'm finding that Lidl's green washing up liquid is very poor. The Aldi equivalent one is much better. Both are surpassed by Fairy liquid, but this is since Fairy have improved the formulation.
