The only thing I really hate about Aldi are the counters... it's almost like they're rushing you along, they cram everything onto that tiny counter top and you've barely got the time to pack everything away before they're passing the next customer's stuff through and piling it into the same tiny space
On the other hand it's nice for the person behind you. I've often had to stand, fuming, in the queue at a local Sainsbury's while the check out operator had a lengthy discussion with one of her friends. Sainsbury's seems to be particularly afflicted in that respect.0 -

The idea is NOT to pack your bags at the counter, but rather in the packing area. Just put the shopping back in your trolley and pack your bags there. Much faster for everyone including YOU. Your name suggests that you're German, so you should know the "system"0 -
I find it much easier to pack stuff away back at my car then I don't have to carry a load of bags and cooling bag around the store with me.
I load my trolley whilst shopping in the order I want to put stuff on the conveyer belt, to make it easier and quicker to re-pack the trolley at the till. Then when I come to pack my bags everything is in the right place for each bag. Couldn't be simpler!0 -

I do exactly the same thing and I now do it at any other supermarkets I use, too - load straight into the car from the trolley.0 -
I put my bags for life open in my trolley, and quickly put all my shopping in as it comes through the till"You can't stop the waves, but you can learn to surf"

I invested in 2 of those trolley bags, cost me about £6, you clip them open to the sides of the trolley, then just put my shopping straight in as easy as putting back into trolley, I mention this as per yesterdays Aldi email, they are going to be selling them next week about £3 each.Do I need it or just want it.0

what if you have a basket full? They do supply baskets, so I assume thats allowed0 -
Another vote for the Lidl stollen at £1.99 for 750g
( though I did brush off a lot of the icing sugar which is rather liberally smothered over the top )0 -

Hope you're not going to be sharing them with Jilly Goolden - she gave the G&T crisps a rating of 1/10 in this taste test article:
https://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-3307899/Prosecco-crisps-taste-worse-Irn-Bru-posh-crisp-flavours-exotic-ask-expert-test-live-claims.html
In the same article, she guessed Aldi Camembert and Caramelised Onion crisps as Pina Colada flavour! I suspect her taste buds are not quite the same as everyone else's, so enjoy your crisps, VfM4meplse!
Friend 1: "They are horrible"
Friend 2: "Inedible!"
Me: V weird tasting, and not at all as I expected. The first taste that hits you is sweet, then citric, then faintly of battered cod. And then just lovely hand cooked crisps. I wouldn't choose them again or recommend, but neither are they something for our WPC to get her knickers into a twist over, either. They have absolutely no addictive quality.Value-for-money-for-me-puhleeze!

Hope is not a strategy...A child is for life, not just 18 years....Don't get me started on the NHS, because you won't win...I love chaz-ing!

I have a suspicion it may be allowable now, there was a post elsewhere suggesting that was the case. And I have seen at least one person take one through without being reprimanded. Mind you, all our basket are security tagged, I don't know whether that's the case everywhere?Stompa0
