I haven't seen the yoghurt coated ones anywhere else despite looking, so it's difficult to compare prices. The plain ones you can get anywhere and shopping around is much easier.

Sainsburys own tomato soup is miles better than Heinz. More tomatoThis is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

One thing that needs careful scrutiny is the way products can change while keeping the same appearance. Two from Aldi that spring to mind are both ones I've praised on here. The first is the Aldi 'craft bakery' white bloomer. While it is still a world apart from the moist, barely cooked dough, 'Kingsmill' style loaves, in the past six months it seems to have lost its once quite pronounced sourdough taste. I can't prove it, but I suspect they have changed the recipe.
Another suspect is Aldi's own brand individual chiclen and bacon pie. Granted that no mass produced pie is likely to be haute cuisine, these were handy to keep in the freezer for unexpected meals and emergencies and were markedly better than the equivalents from other supermarkets or main brands. But what was once quite a chunky, even substantial, filling has turned into - well, it's less of a chicken pie these days and more a pastry crust wrapped around a can of chicken soup.
Naughty Aldi.
Any other changes that regulars have noticed?0 -

I buy flowers regularly from Aldi. I worried for a while that they seemed to have a lot of naff (IMO) mixed bouquets. Now they're back to single bunches and a great range. I can buy an armful in Aldi for the price of a single bunch elsewhere!:D
Also impressed with many garden plants, especially bay, olive and rosemary trees that I have in tubs at a fraction of M&S prices.0 -
I had some of the Bresaola from Lidl tonight and it was far and above the nicest Bresaola I have had in this country. Much nicer (and quite a bit cheaper!) than the Waitrose offering which I have previously bought.
The Lidl Bresaola is authentic and hails from Valtellina, where Bresaola originated. The packet has a Protected Geographical Indication stamp which basically means that it is true from origin. It is only £1.99 for 80g which is a really good price for something of such quality.0 -
I don't know about the Aldi chicken pies but they have changed the provider of their roast potatoes.
Used to be evenly sized and would crisp up well.
Now they are all different sizes from very large to small slivers. In one pack I just used, had to throw away 3 large spuds out as they were black inside and uneatable. Also had to cut some black areas off other parts of the roasts.
Plus they have changed the recipe and have removed the spice from the coating mix.
Unless they change to a better product, I will be crossing them off my shopping list.
I do HATE any company who changes the way they produce a product and then make it WORSE!!:mad:The more I live, the more I learn.

I'd be taking back any black spuds.
I can't think of any Aldi product that's changed without warning. I'll be interested to see whether the new packaging for Soya Milk makes any difference to the product.
The fruit has seasonal changes (as you'd expect). This means that the Specially Selected 4 x Apples vary in size quite a bit from season to season. Always nice, though, but only excellent VFM when they are the enormous ones.0
