Lidl Cien spray deodorant is horrid - white powder flakes everywhere! It's the first thing I have found that I really don't like.

I'm not keen on any Ryvita lookalike either

Apart from those I love Aldi and Lidl

I prefer Lidls Ryvita to the real thing, but don't like Aldis at all (and btw Asdas is vile)!
A waist is a terrible thing to mind.

Kids used to like their cereals but won't eat them now - even when I decant them into a branded box.

Really? That's a shame. I'm slowly going through the range. Have so far tried the rice krispies and the frosties and thought they were absolutely identical to Kellogg's. Maybe the more "kiddy" ones aren't as good perhaps.

Gonna try their Weetabix next. Eating "proper" Weetabix at the moment (it was half price) and don't think they're actually as nice as the Sainsbury's own-brand ones I had a few months ago. Own brands are generally getting a LOT better these days.

Actually yes, it is just the chocolate ones now I think about it. I buy one box of wheetos or coco pops per month and the rest of the time they have shreddies or bran flakes which are Aldi's - I had forgotten I buy them!!

I don't eat cereal but hubby has the bran flakes and prefers them but I think there is a lot of sugar in them.

I always go once a month to stock up on the things I mentioned and also get smoked salmon, bagels and croissants from there. I also used to love their choc chip brioche but it was FAR too nice, I had to stop!!

I can get a decent amount from the edges of the shop but not the middle (apart from bottled water)!

As I say, i really did enjoy it when it first opened but things seem to have gone downhill. I believe it all depends on your store. I do like their Christmas goodies, in particular, the stollen - but even that went mouldy in its packet last yr before it was opened.

Aldi's Christmas stuff is very nice. Though not had things like stuffings, pigs in blankets etc as mum makes her own

They taste fine but no snap crackle or pop with them.

Do Lidl do sesame ryvita style crackers? Been buying Aldi ones and they have in fact grow on me.

No idea, dont shop in lidl often but I'll have a look next time Im in

Lidl have changed their rice crispies copy, used to be called goody rice, had plenty of snap crackle and pop, its called something else now

I have to stop myself buying them as I really like rice crispies and Id eat half the box in one go given half a chance.
