Thanks for taking the time to post that dlusman, I will stock up.

btw, why is this thread yet again back in this odd category, it does seem to ping pong between the two? Please can it be permanently transferred back to the main thread moderator?
    Thanks.

Yes.Lidl.Mc....some interesting stuff today, though prices seem to be inching up for Christmas. Extra Mature Valley Spire still a good price, and the British Wine 8% £2.59. And McKellen Malt Whisky (which has won awards. £20.
And two baguettes at 19p,together are longer than the 70p baguettes.
Couldn't find red cabbage for pickling. Waiting for mushrooms to drop, cheapest still 89p.
See the frozen mixed veg are now Iceland competitive at 89p 1kg.
Eggs £1.25 for 15. Plain yogurt still 45p.

I usually find Morrisons a good store to buy red cabbage:)

why has this moved to the gone off section? :( Took ages to find it.

Only popped in to say the tub of prunes and the large tub of Greek yoghurt from Lidl are very good. Have enjoyed them this week :)

What's this like, and how much is it?

Voucher Thursday after all, tomorrow ;)

I think it's great. very enjoyable Friday night fizz. I can't remember the exact price but about £6.50 a bottle.

Cremant de Loire is fizzy, white wine from Chenin Blanc grape. It's fairly dry and made in same traditional manner as champagne. It's not champagne but well up there with Prosecco and Cava.

I hope many of you got the Daily Mirror voucher(s). £10 off a £50 spend at Aldi and mocs for 50 / 30% off usefully seasonal buys like cooking chocolate, hard cheese, food colours and cold meat. The hard cheese is a decent bargain at the normal price.

  • Yes I got 2 papers yesterday. Used one voucher yesterday and will use the other next Thursday. Got stocked up on some Christmas cheer yesterday, including a bottle of Creme de Cassis which I rather liked the sound of! Has anybody tried it? It sounds like an alcoholic version of Ribena!

You make Kir with it - mixing it with white wine.
Other drinks made with Creme de Cassis http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kir_%28cocktail%29
My family have the Kir Petillant which is any non champagne sparkling wine
