Why has this thread been moved to the gone off section ?
It went back to gone off when a poster moaned about some Lidl Haddock. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Why cannot you just phone this number ? They should know what stores stock what products ? ( and should even know what their current stock count is )
Rang the 0800 number and they can only check stock levels of special buy items.:( Whats the point in that? Well I did ask them why they stopped selling the gold roast coffee refill bags.
Have visited the 2 nearest from me and don't sell Limoncello and having to go to try the next nearest three! About 17 mile loop! This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

Agreed its a very strange arrangement in these days of much greater computer power and networking where a Head Office/centralised service centre cannot tell you what stores stock what product.0 -
The stores do have direct numbers, they just don't make them readily available. As far as I'm aware, and at least previously, the 0800 number will transfer you to the local store if you ask.
A number of local store numbers can be found at

I spoke to the store manager at the Aldi I just visited and he said from the list of alcohol lines coming between now and end of year, Limoncello was not on the list.
.
The cheapest I looked at is Tesco's Limonce and that is £9 until TuesdayThis is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

I am not too sure if the others do this. If you phone a Sainsburys and ask if they have a certain product in. They check on their system and if not in stock, they can tell the stock levels in other stores nearbyThis is a system account and does not represent a real person. I just bought a box of Aldi's Choceur Treasures - they very similar to Ferreo Rocher but not individually wrapped, slightly smaller and thin lines of icing on them. £1.99 for 16. Can't taste the difference. Cheapest the big 4 have them is £3 each when buying 2 boxes. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. Argos too. But there's a cost to all those things. There's obviously a balance to be had between having the stuff people want to buy, and the cost of providing information about lines that only appear in a proportion of stores.
I've definitely seen the Limoncello here in Sittingbourne before, can't remember if it's in-store ATM.
Drinking my Amaretto last night.... Hmmm.... Free Amaretto, the best kind.0 -

Aldi being Aldi, and Limoncello being essentially a Summer drink, I doubt it will reappear until the Spring. It's good though, if you can find a bottle lurking somewhere.0
