Scarlet Marble you do nothing but moan about Aldi and their products, so remind me, why do you keep shopping there? I've not seen you say a positive thing yet!

I have done many. Did one yesterday post 3676.

    Happy now?

And what sort of container and cleaning do you suggest for that sort of rigmarole?

My Nanan freezes the milk in the milk bottle she bought it in. If needed, takes out from freezer before bed into the fridge and milk is defrosted for breakfast. Then treat it like fresh.

Works better with semi skimmed 1% and skimmed.

Thats what my mum does, works quite well, she even will save 1 thats been emptied and fill it back up with milk to then refreeze.
  • Biscuits and crackers are very good in LIDL, very crispy and fresh with nice flavours.
I've tried the shortbread, cookies- fruit and coconut, cinnamon waffle bisuits and watertable crackers.
The imitation bounties are also good. I think they call them choco choco.

If you want a full bodied red wine look no further than Aldi's Montepulciano D'Abruzzo. A snip at £3.79.

Bought some of the special selection chocolate bars in Lidl, can't remember cost, maybe £1.50. It has see through packaging on a silver backing. Just had the white chocolate with cranberry and it's lovely. Had bought 8 to use as stocking fillers but fear they wont last til the end of the month! They do other flavours as well.

I don't have space in the freezer. 4 pints last me 7-9 days as live on my own. Obviously if a family of 5 or 6 have cereals everyday then 4 days is fine for them

That's a shame as to get the best from mse the freezer is your friend.

I'm fortunate that my Aldi has a good 10 day date on it's milk and I get through it easily in that time between drinks and with cereals.

mysteryme, the quality of chocolate in Aldi is excellent too. I buy some 70% Moser Roth every week. I'm currently resisting the marzipan hearts. I'd love to get some in for Christmas but can't trust myself not to eat them now!

dandelion, I'm not a biscuit person but my DH loves the Cranberry and White Chocolate cookies.:)

At tea time today as my husband and I tucked into our lidl fresh haddock in a light crumb, I looked at the unappetising grey fish I was about to put in my mouth and thought to myself I must report my displeasure at it on this thread.
Did not look good under the coating it was a strange grey colour and was a strange tasting fish as well.
A down arrow from me and other half. Yuk.
