Regarding the baskets being nicked - though not Aldi.

The Sainsburys near me introduced the baskets on wheels last year and they were forever getting nicked. They withdrawn them about 3 months ago after the number of baskets they had went to just 12 - having 30 to start with and ordered another c.27-30. So at least 45 wheelie baskets have gone walkabouts. Plus kids were running around with them causing a near accident with an old dear.

I have a couple of colleagues that I regularly chat to and they told me this.

I have seen three of these wheelie baskets - one a few doors from my parents. The youngest kid was sitting inside the basket wheeled by her father. Another one was used by a customer in another shop and the third one dumped on top of a litter bin in a park.

Bought a bottle of the Belucci after dark coffee Liqueur in Aldi for £4.99, thought I would have a wee taste purely for research purposes, so dissappointed it tastes horrible, barely notice any coffee taste (smells yuk too) just seems like dirty sweet synthetic alcohol, don't bother.
    Booo!!!

Had Aldi's pesto infused smoked salmon and its was lovely!

Did you know that Aldi's SS bread is made by the same baker around Syston area of Leicestershire who only make for M&S as well?

All the skimmed milk in the shop had a UB date of 17/11. Always 4 days left and I did check the milk botttles behind as well. Everytime I go to Asda, their UB dates are 10-11 days after.
Same situation in our Aldi - none of the milk ever has more than 6 or 7 days on it at the very longest. Odd, because other Aldis (and Lidl) always have 10 or 11 days on theirs - as does the Tesco next door.

Annoying if you shop (as I do) as infrequently as possible and live a few miles from the nearest shop.

Not ideal - but if you have the space, milk will be okay in the freezer

Though this doesnt mean its the same bread ( though I am not saying that it isnt - i have no idea if it is or not ) . It is very easy to make two very different products in the same factory :)

I don't have space in the freezer. 4 pints last me 7-9 days as live on my own. Obviously if a family of 5 or 6 have cereals everyday then 4 days is fine for them

And what sort of container and cleaning do you suggest for that sort of rigmarole?

Scarlet Marble you do nothing but moan about Aldi and their products, so remind me, why do you keep shopping there? I've not seen you say a positive thing yet!
