To clarify on my earlier post (too many replies to quote) my Aldi has never allowed us to take baskets past the conveyor belt so I was surprised when I was told off for not having it at the checkout. Like someone else mentioned I always put my items in the right order on the conveyor belt for packing. Funnily enough, no one at any other checkouts had their baskets with them and I didn't hear any other cashier mention it.0

'Told off'? Just remind them who the customer is, and who pays their wages. No excuse at all for that.0 -

It just doesn't add up. Maybe you should have a word with the checkout operative, scottishgirl87? They need to know how they made you feel and that their message was confusing.'Told off'? Just remind them who the customer is, and who pays their wages. No excuse at all for that.
Normally Aldi staff are incredibly helpful. I see them go the extra mie time and again.Value-for-money-for-me-puhleeze!

Nor mine. I was told that it's to prevent customers walking off with the basket. Apparently some would just refill their basket at the checkout, take it out to their car, and disappear with it.Baileys_Babe wrote: »I was also surprised none of the Aldi's over 4 towns I use let you take the basket the conveyor belt either.Stompa0 -
Another Aldi item disappeared from their shelves - SS Manuka 10+ honey replaced with normal Manuka. Aldi is the cheapest place to buy Manuka 10+ honey. Good job I have two spare jars.
Aldi seriously need to have more smaller trolleys. I think there are only 25 per store. Customers who are elderly and/or have back problems struggle to get things in/out of a big trolley. Mum calls them 'bad back trolleys'. Pus some people prefer to have a smaller trolley as it's a method to buying less. The other supermarkets have more smaller trolleys.
I wanted some Granny Smith apples and their bags cost £1.59. Asda charge 31p less.
All the skimmed milk in the shop had a UB date of 17/11. Always 4 days left and I did check the milk botttles behind as well. Everytime I go to Asda, their UB dates are 10-11 days after.
So Granny Smiths and milk from Asda tomorrow. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0
