I think it's great. very enjoyable Friday night fizz. I can't remember the exact price but about £6.50 a bottle.(ETA £6.79)

Cremant de Loire is fizzy, white wine from Chenin Blanc grape. It's fairly dry and made in same traditional manner as champagne. It's not champagne but well up there with Prosecco and Cava.

Today the Cremant de Jura has reappeared and the other disappeared. That's sparkling chardonnay and a little more expensive (£7.29?). It's been recommended by Jane McQuitty and well worth buying some in for festive season (if you can wait that long).

Yes I got 2 papers yesterday. Used one voucher yesterday and will use the other next Thursday. Got stocked up on some Christmas cheer yesterday, including a bottle of Creme de Cassis which I rather liked the sound of! Has anybody tried it? It sounds like an alcoholic version of Ribena!
Cassis is great. I much prefer it to Chambord.

Although I don't say no to either, esp not on a Friday evening ;)

  • You make Kir with it - mixing it with white wine.
Other drinks made with Creme de Cassis http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kir_%28cocktail%29
My family have the Kir Petillant which is any non champagne sparkling wine

Should go nicely with the Aldi Prosecco I have been stocking up on!

Aldi have some 2008 premier cru red in at the moment. Its £15, but gets excellent write ups on various wine specialist websites.

They also have Sancerre for £9.

One bottle of each stashed for Christmas.

The frozen prawns in tempura batter are also worth a punt.

I think you've just been unlucky. I buy white grapes from Aldi almost every week and always leave them on the side in the kitchen (DH likes them with his breakfast muesli). They last well for almost a week before they're eaten up and we've never had that 'mould' on them.

I'd go back and speak to the store if I were you.

I possibly should have, its happened a few times now but I just kept hoping it was a one (two, three...) off. Started to store them in the fridge but after putting some in an air tight tub and taking to work they went funny before the afternoon was out. I'm a jinx:o

Anyway, I've given up and will purchase from Asda/Morrisons from now on, no biggie :)

Has it moved back to GO because of the grapes?

No it is a random software glitch.

Red usually moves it back once notified - perhaps she is on her hols?

If you want an alcoholic version if Ribena, this would be it. Girly and delicious :D

The Lidl deluxe ones aren't bad either. They were on offer a couple of weeks ago @39p for 150g bag :)
