Oh Yum!! I love salty crisps. I figure that if I'm going to eat crisps as a treat I might as well go the whole hog and have carbs, fat and salt.
My thoughts exactly, I'm not a regular crisp eater but when I do I like them salty.
Same with fish and chips, they get well doused with salt and vinegar0 -

I have lost out on special buys as I didn't have enough money on my debit card to pay with. Then five days later, I get paid and could I find the special buy? Nope!
Until Aldi accept credit cards, if there is anything I want on the special buys and cash flow isn't good, I ask my parents to lend me money.
Never has arrived, Aldi started taking cards 13 October. Lidl already takecards although I don't know when they sneaked that inand Ishop there at least once a week and visit their website0 -
Surely Aldi and Lidl charge for bags? Not very money saving to be using theirs! I'm using Carrefour bags for life. 70 cents each, and very good they are too.0

Yes they do charge, but the larger (6p) ones are pretty good quality and can be re-used many times.
Here in Scotland we will very soon be paying everywhere for our bags. No more free plastic carriers.First they ignore you, then they ridicule you, then they fight you, and then you win - Gandhi0 -

By accident I just noticed this thread in this gone off section which I never look at. I thought for some reason the thread had been deleted as I only look in the general Food thread. Seems a bizarre place for it to be to me.0

Forgot to add, I recently tried Aldi's Lemon Curd, not very nice, not really lemony and a rather odd chemically aftertaste. Think it is 55 or 59p. Shall take that off my list of good buys.0

Could someone please move the thread to the food shopping board?
Not impressed which with Aldi's cup a soups. Not pleasant. Sticking to Bachelors when they are on offerThis is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

I tried some of Aldi's Brussels pate and it had a horrible texture and aftertaste. No issues with other pates. It's the one in a small white tub.
Really?
I've been buying that regularly for the past 18 months or so and I can't get enough of it. For about 55p it's yet another Aldi bargain and I think it's absolutely delicious. I certainly don't find it has a horrible texture and the only aftertaste I get is of my gob craving more of it.0
