Filled pasta for 69p is very cheap. In fact, the gnocchi is so cheap compared to elsewhere, that it is one of the highest percentage savings across L & A.
Gnocchi is potato and flour to bind - not pasta - and any chump with a little time on their hands can make it in front of the TV. :D

Yes, I know. But it is an honorary pasta, and is one of the three varieties, I assume, that we are talking about.... or maybe it isn't since the poster hasn't named the offending item(s) yet.

Actually, I think there maybe three without Gnocchi...

The gnocchi in Aldi is very nice indeed, much better than one I've had from Tesco before.

Lidl Greek yogurt - delicious either the little pots or the huge bucket
Lidl version of Pringles , voted !!! better than the originals by the whole family
Lidl crusti choc chocolate with the crispy bits in , lovely
Lidl fresh strawberries and blueberries , consistently excellent quality and taste
Lidl cream cheese - half the price of the big supermarkets
Lidl fig rolls , husband says are lovely
Lidl digestive biscuits at 37p half the price of Sainsburys own and very nice
Lidl version of muller light yogurts , no complaints here and half the price.

Today we did a big shop at Lidl that cost us £93 and I worked out that the same trolley full was £126 in Sainsburys where we used to shop . The time we spend shopping is less with the smaller store and carpark and I can honestly say that as yet not one thing we have tried we haven't liked.

    Go to https://www.aldi.co.uk/en/about-aldi/useful-information/store-locator/

This will give a list of stores in your area. If you really want to know what shops are being done up in your area, give them an email and ask.

If you are asking the general public on here, it would be a help if you told use where you live. We are all not clairvoyant.:)

Or just ask on the facebook page or twitter.

That may apply to the filling or a sauce but it does not apply to the pasta.

You can't really compare any old fresh pasta to the best dried. Good dried pasta cooked to perfection can have a far more pleasant texture and feel than fresh pasta.

well, I make my own, sorry for the confusion :D, mine is heaven:rotfl:

I just discovered that Aldi sells fresh lamb mince. Brilliant, much less fat than T's lamb and mutton and much cheaper than T's lean lamb mince.
