Have you tried Waitrose or Marks and Spencer ? :p

    Marks & Sparks for a treat, yes!:T

Very rarely go to Waitrose, way too expensive and I find their stores almost clinical, like one shouldn't even touch their goods.

All of Aldi's yoghurts are tasteless in terms of actually tasting of yoghurt, but of horrid after taste.

Not impressed with their coleslaw either.

Aldi cheddar cheese was like rubber
    .
I get a block of the aldi medium cheddar every 2 weeks and it's always tasted the same as every other medium cheddar I've eaten.

Two non food items from Aldi that I will get regularly from now on - Tin foil and toilet blocks, great value and as good if not better than the usual supermarket or brand labels

I get the impression Edwood will generally dislike anything that the majority enjoys ;)

The medium cheddar melts nicely and goes stringy (as it should) on home made pizzas, and we buy the toilet blocks and tin foil as well. My OH likes their "Pimms" copy, and you can always find good value wines and beers - Aldis cheapest Cotes du Rhone is the best value one IMO.
Other good things are the deli peppers and olives (again for pizzas).

I've bought this before, not really the kind of thing I have on my shopping list but at 30% off thought I'd treat myself (along with a small white baguette) and I agree it had the heat factor.

Glad this thread is back in its rightful place!

I buy a few things from Aldi/Lidl but there is not a chance I could buy a weekly shop from these with their bland, tastless foodstuffs and cheapo things like washing up liquid which is a false economy.

I'm always amazed to see shoppers with bulging trollys of rubbish in these stores.

Another disgruntled Tesco/Morrisson's employee trying to put people off from shopping in Aldi. Sorry mate, won't work!

How much revenue have you lost during the past twelve weeks? Whilst Aldi have increased theirs by more than 32% :D

Try Aldi Camenbert, it is absolutely delicious.

Also their specially selected yogurts. I prefer the vanilla or lemon.

Their washing up liquid is excellent and has won awards from places like which. Its as good as Fairy Liquid. If it was rubbish then I would be the first to say so.
Their foodstuffs also taste the same as everywhere elce, I hate bland things and I've not found this to be the case with the things I have eaten.
Aldis own spray on deodorant is rubbish, I have tried this week their mouthwash and it seems o.k.
