HA HA 'pulled' pork?I've never heard or tried it.:rotfl:
Best served with: lady fingers and running beans so they can decide among themselves to pull, to run or to stretch etc.
Do they also sell 'pushed' pork? The kind if you push hard enough it might land in your neighbour's backyard!0 -
It's the current fad food.0

Stopped buying milk and bananas in Aldi recently. The milk goes off way before the date on the bottle and the bananas ripe too quickly.0

Don't forget that episode 1 of 'Supermarket Wars' aired on C4 last night
- Goes into depth about the Aldi/Lidl phenomenon.

Yes, have noticed that with the bananas so only buy the 3 pack now, which works out cheaper. I'm the only one in the family who regularly eats bananas so can't afford to let them sit and rot until another family member takes a fancy to one0 -
I need pillows. Has anyone tried the lidl 2 for £10 Meradiso Tencel pillows?0

Funny you should mention that! I bought a bag of bananas in Aldi last week and three of them split open as they ripened! As fruit flies promptly appeared and set about the edible part of the fruit, they ended up on the compost heap.
I wasn't very impressed.0 -
I know they say you shouldn't keep bananas in the fridge, but I have always done this. They keep much longer that way, and when they do start to go off, the edible part stays pale & edible even after the peel is brown.
And bananas at Aldi are better value than elsewhere, because everyone else sells them loose for 68p/kg, but Aldi's are in a bag, and are obliged to be more than 1kg for your 68p.0 -
I've just eaten the last banana from a bunch i bought in Aldi last Thursday. Might be where you keep yours ?
I keep them in the fruit bowl.
I've started buying them from Tesco so that I can buy a couple of ripe ones and a couple of green ones, whereas in Aldi I always find they're all already very yellow. My bananas from Tesco easily last over a week once they're in the fruit bowl, the Aldi ones just weren't lasting the same.0
