You must seen on the TV, food going mouldy filmed on a high speed camera over 2-3 weeks. It was like that but in real life speed! It made me lose my appetite.
That's another f&v I refuse to buy in Aldi!
I check all fruit and veg as soon as i get home and before i put it in the fridge.
You only need one little tomato to split and it will affect the whole lot if you leave it in the pack. I've not had a problem with any f & v from Aldi. I've used up a Romaine lettuce this evening which i bought two weeks ago !0 -
Makes perfect business sense , and keeps cost down. Packaged seperately
you need 2 or 3 times the warehouse storage space , extra transport delivery cost and more display space in store.
Not necessarily as say for.example, a product has two flavours and there are 40 in a case, the cases will have 20 in and take the same space from warehouse to shelf. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

the way most things work these days is for each product to take a "unit" of shelf space. If you package them seperately you need 2 "units" of space rather than one if they are packaged together0 -
The Manchego cheese which is currently on sale at Lidl as part of their Spanish week (2.99) is absolutely delicious! Hope it will still be around the next time I pop in for a shop but afraid today might have been the last day of Spanish Week...0

Why has this thread been moved to "Gone Off!"?
Popped into the Romford branch on the A12 on my way down to Essex earlier this morning and witnessed 3 acts of dangerous driving in the space of 60 seconds:
- a driver reversed out of his space and squeezed past my route whilst I was waiting to reverse into an adjacent space without even noticing my vehicle (my rear parking sensor was screeching like hell).
- another driver helpfully reversed to allow another car out, nearly running over a lady who was returning her trolley over in the process. She didn't even look before she put the car into reverse, and had no concept of the near miss much less asking if the poor woman was ok.
- the driver that was given way by the driver above reversed straight into a row of stationary trolleys.
The common factor? All 3 were geriatrics
But I bought some lovely planters of fuschias and petunias (alive and well albeit requiring a little TLC) for [STRIKE]£3.99 [/STRIKE]£1.49, so it worked out ok in the endValue-for-money-for-me-puhleeze!
