I don't understand the multi flavours in one box either. All of the flavours have the same barcode so there is no telling from the sales database which flavour sells the best etc.

It's the same with the bottles of flavoured water and mixers in Aldi. I wanted the low calorie tonic water and there were 30 bottles of the others in the range on the board above and there was no way I was able to lift that pallet to grab the bottles I wanted.

The staff should make sure that all the varieties are accessible or Aldi need to put shelves and pack each variety into a separate case.

Just ask a member of staff to get the variety out you would like. I do this regularly and the staff are always more than ready to assist.

I have problems with the multi box thing too, especially fruit tea, muesli and pizza. There's always a shortage of the flavours we like and the rest get battered and torn.

How odd that the thread should move boards? And without any message from the mse minders either?

I fear for the safety of customers next to the 1.5L no added sugar dilutables. Invariably all the load-bearing apple & blackcurrant is gone, leaving just a flimsy scaffold of orange. Someone is bound to get squashed sooner or later.

I know you made a serious point (and I agree) but I did laugh at the idea of no added sugar being harmful to health AGAIN! I've lost track of the number of times I've been admonished on here for poisoning myself with a glass of NAS Ribena every morning.

Hopefully someone from Aldi reads these posts and reports back.

P.S. I've never understood why some posters resort to MrA and MrT and Sainsbobs () to disguise their posts (so I'm told). I want the SMs to know we're not happy. Maybe if the Tesco man had listened more carefully he wouldn't have got the elbow.;)

Unless you believe the edgier horror stories about artificial sweeteners, the issue is that they make you feel hungrier. I was very sceptical about this, but dieting recently I decided to cut down on NAS drinks, and it does seem to be true.

Interesting to note that Karl Albrecht the founder, who wanted to keep the value proposition very simple, died recently:

This is a problem with the shops - where multiple varieties share the one pack.

In the big 4 supermarkets, the only thing I can think of that has multiple varieties in a case are the Zoflora disinfectants.

There are things like tissues in decorative boxes but the contents are the same.

Having different nuts in the same box is not good business practice as if they were in different cases, they would make more money by charging more for the pricey nuts.

I think the reason behind the multi varieties in each case is to keep staffing levels low. If each product had one flavour etc, there would be 2-3 times more cases to put on shelves and take 2-3 times longer and perhaps needs 2-3 extra staff to do this.

Makes perfect business sense , and keeps cost down. Packaged seperately
you need 2 or 3 times the warehouse storage space , extra transport delivery cost and more display space in store.

Invariably they vary the price stickers to reflect this or quantities of each in the packaging. I can't speak for nuts but have noticed it with other things.

A harsh wake-up call, isn't it? You're not so special, you're just the same as everyone else!
Not too sure what you mean by that but I shall leave it for arguments sake...

Yes it pretty annoying I can't seem to get cashews from my local aldi as my shopping habit seem to prevent this, I've to stock up in Morrisons instead, doubt it will hit aldi too hard in the pocket however.

Multi varieties means poor stock control as if one flavour does sell more than the others what happens is more cases are delivered with the poorer selling varieties.
