Can anyone comment on the teabags in Aldi please? We have been using yorkshire tea for some time as I had stocked up but we are nearly up and I would rather buy something cheaper. We have been doing half our weekly shop in Aldi for about 6 weeks now, so thought we would give their teabags a try if they are any good?

The Red Label Tea Bags (160 for £1.79) seem fine to me.

Me too. Can't taste any difference between them and Yorkshire Tea for example. I'd say go for it, they're great and a bargain.

KFC is not proper southern fried chicken!!! You only get proper southern fried chicken in the deep south of the USA

Whatever. It's the KFC taste that I love and the stuff in the shops that I've tried isn't anywhere close.

I'm sure Lidl sell a bucket that looks like a direct KFC copy so I might try that but I'm not holding out much hope.

If, like me, you're a fan of Dorset Cereals luxury muesli then you'll be pleased to know that Lidl Simply Sumptuous Special Muesli is made by the same company. They just switch the labelling on the machines :D

Thanks, FM. That is worth knowing. I don't have a Lidl that's easy for me to get to, but Aldi's Premium mueslis are also remarkably similar to some of the Dorset mueslis. I love them.
There was a coupon in the Mirror for 50% off the new Aldi Granola last week, so 1kg cost me just 94p today. Will report on that.

I am currently not enjoying my Aldi shopping experiences quite as much as usual as roughly half of the stock has been relocated in odd areas of the store. :( I'll get used to it, I'm sure.

Heads up to the Aldi chilled chocolate mousses, 69p for 6. Tried these for the first time - I normally get the Tesco value ones, which are much cheaper, but also taste it. The Aldi mousses are heavenly, a real dark chocolate hit, not sweet and sickly at all. Really do taste like a premium product.

Loads of little reductions spotted going around the store, premium chopped tomatoes with herbs down to 39p for example.

Update on the ongoing Lidl sale, the boxes have been topped up - 1 ceramic Chef's knife for £ 3 and a domed kitchen light fitting I've needed for a year for £ 1! I'll have to go in again today (oh dear...) for something I forgot yesterday.....
We had the chilli beef skewers from the BBQ section again last night as sold stickered, quite hot but nice, can recommend.

Don't like the Aldi Digestives, much prefer the Lidl brand
Life is a coin, you can spend it anyway you wish, but you can only spend it once.
Go as far as you can see, and when you get there you'll see further.

...I've got one of their non-frozen £1.50 Ham & Pineapple pizzas. The £1 frozen Carlos ones are lovely and a bargain so I have high hopes for this. It certainly looks scrummy. Will have it tonight while watching the USA World Cup match.

Hmm. The pizza wasn't as nice as I'd hoped. Certainly prefer the frozen Carlos one. Will have that during the France V Germany match on Friday.

Gotta give another big up for Aldi's "Chip shop style" steak pies. Lovely. Just like the ones from the chippy but only £1 for 2. An absolute bargain.

Also loved the Gianni's Magnum ice cream / lolly copies. Have had a mixed reaction to the Gianni stuff so far but the cornetto's and the magnums are absolutely gorgeous.

McVities (United Biscuits) have now said they'll no longer make Aldi's biscuits for them. They've realised that it's hurting their own brand too much, with Aldi selling much the same thing at a fraction of the price.

Another update on the Lidl sale - I found a mud pack for sore backs for £ 3 (I'll have great use for that!) , a pack of 2 glue sticks for 50 p and a Chronometer watch for £ 5, which will be put away for DD2's birthday ;). Most else in the boxes was samey jumpers and knickers, some DIY stuff and socks ;)
I asked the manager about the Pretzels and he promised me that they would be back , I am relieved as they are missed by the family...
