Had the Aldi Cheese & Bacon ( or was it Bacon & Cheese ) ? Pasta Bake with some Shell Pasta for tea and it was absolutely Brilliant ! Creamy sauce with chunks of bacon went well :)
Now for the next flavour ..... :)
    Try some !

Is this in the chiller or is it dried in a packet, as it sounds really nice.Thanks.

Aldi scoops Grocer of the Year at the Grocer Gold Awards
Aldi has been named Grocer of the Year, for the second year running, beating Waitrose, Asda, Ocado, and Sainsbury’s.
The award was presented at the prestigious Grocer Gold Awards on 11th June, the ‘Oscars’ of the UK retail industry and comes as Aldi enjoys one of its most successful trading years to date.
Tony Baines Managing Director of Buying, Aldi Stores UK said: “We’re thrilled to have won the Grocer of the Year Award for the second year running. This award is real testament to the quality products that we source from some of the best food and drink producers in the world, our everyday low pricing and our commitment to providing the best service. It’s this ethos that keeps our staff always striving to deliver and our customers coming back to us.
Recognition from The Grocer Gold Awards provides our shoppers with the assurance that they are getting the best from us. We consistently offer the best possible experience for our customers and will continue to do so going forward.”
The award is the latest in a long line of accolades for Aldi. In May, Aldi took home 8 Gold Awards and 10 Silver Awards at the Grocer Own Label awards. Aldi has also been awarded Retailer of the Year at the Retail Week Awards and voted the UK’s top supermarket according to the Which? Supermarket Satisfaction Survey.

aldi pulled pork is next to the meat section (ie chilled)in my aldi in a cardboard wrapper over a foil tray. There is also a similar thing with spare ribs but I wasn't keen on that as no meat on it. HTH

Found the spare ribs but not the pulled pork. Will check again next time, thanks.

It was on offer at a reduced price last Thursday so may have sold out.
It's not an enormous amount by any means but makes a heavenly filling for baguettes, etc.

I thought kiwis were meant to be eaten 'hard'? if they go soft they are disgusting.

I agree that they're not great when mushy, but they're even worse when they're very hard IMO.

I've always been happy with the loose kiwis from Lidl. Big and delicious when at the right stage (slightly soft but not fermenting). You do have to watch the checkout staff though - in haste one hit the 4 as well as 5. Suddenly 5 kiwi fruits cost me £9 :o

Not sure - if that were the case, why the need for the higher end range?

But the higher end range IS Aldi branded - Specially Selected, just like Tesco Finest. Not Belmont or Bramwells or Harvest Morn et al - it's just Aldi Specially Selected which I believe just backs up the argument that the made up "brands" are now irrelevent.

Am watching my local Lidl...some Tesco type tricks are creeping in.
Recently the tomato plants were £3.99 for 6 (66p each).
Then they started selling them individually at £1.49 each.

Different offers in different weeks this time I think....they cost more when they are bigger!

I check most times and in every shop (usually regret it if I forget and check at home). A Mag at WHSmith was the wrong price at the tills as they'd not changed it back in the computer system from the bumper issue last month - happens at Lidl sometimes, always question if you think something actually is the wrong prive!

Managed to back two waguy ribeye steaks from Aldi before work this morning - very excited about having those this weekend! Also, partner is in Liverpool where there are still some bay trees for £15 so I'll have me one of them, they sold out straight away in London. Yay!
