The Aldi mackerel in tomato sauce is lovely.
Agreed. Their tinned herring (85p for 200g) is pretty good too.

Do you wash gym gear with heavy duty sweat and do you use a fast (60 minute) 30 degree wash?

Ariel Actilift Gel tackles both these and all the clothes come out smelling clean and fresh.

Using the Aldi gel they still smell as stale as they went into the machine and need re-washing. Maybe it's fine for lightly soiled clothes on a long wash but it certainly doesn't suit my needs.

In all fairness, no, re the sweatiness, but yes re the 30 degree wash. My 30 deg mixed wash takes 53 minutes.
I do cycle which gets me very warm in summer but I don't do the gym thing.
My washing machine is a Bosch, just about their cheapest model, I think, but it is pretty good.

  • We tried the Aldi shortcrust pastry ( ready to roll) was 99p was lovely. We made homemade corned beef pasties with it. We also picked up the puff pastry too ( ready to roll) not used that one yet though but going to make bacon & cheese slices out of it this week.

Do Aldi do any all-butter pastries? Not keen on the palm oil and other not-so-nice ingredients in the ordinary ones.

Will go into L's this weekend for their single peppers offer. Not only were they cheap last time but huge and utterly lovely.
