Tried The Fishmonger Salmon fishcakes from the chiller yesterday
pack of 2 huge ones 1.49. plenty of salmon not all potato!
They are lovely with a bit of lemon and I think are nicer than M&S,
Also tried their frozen garden peas for the first time, think they were 99P ?
better than ones that i got from Sains' for 1.60 or something.0 -

The fresh salmon fillets and frozen tuna steaks, both by The Fishmonger, are delicious and excellent quality too. As are both flavours of smoked salmon I've tried.“You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time, but you can never please all of the people all of the time.”0

Picked up one of Aldi's "New" frozen lasagnes last week. Only 89p so was expecting the worst. When I opened it to eat, I was not impressed by the minor amount of cheese but kind of expected it for the price so sprinkled a small amount of cheese on myself.
It was absolutely gorgeous! I've had many £2 frozen lasagnes from the big supermarkets and this was nicer. The small amount of cheese was the only thing letting it down but I only put about 10p's worth of cheese on so it worked out at a quid for the best lasagne I've had in ages. Will definitely be buying more and will check out the more expensive non-frozen ones as I've heard good things.0 -
after reading the Grab the bargains last night from top of the discussion time page, decided to open a isa at nationwide. so thanks for that zorica,:T ive gone from .45% to 2.75% interest. :j... then poped over the road to lidl to get my coffee and have a general nosey, half way down the 1st isle I thought prices look dearer than aldi, and the main bargains where only multi-buys. the 4 quails at lidl are £5.99:eek:and advertised as exclusive to lidl, (I assume they meant the price). so just got 3 bags of coffee, the meatballs looked nice and big so got them and a roll of duct tape.
no point starting work so late in the day so;
then went to mr t's just got dog food and treats and then shop at aldi but didn't get much as its voucher day next Thursday 24th.
looked for the quails but there not on offer at ours, still at £4.99, but got a continental tart, (now come on:rotfl:) that where vouchered last month as they are very nice, and the fish cakes as recommended by shoperholicnot.
having a carlos meat feast pizza for my dinner tonight.0 -
I also think that Lidl is cheaper than Aldi with many things but v eg and fruit is Aldi tops. It's just worth keeping an eye on the prices as here Lidl is more tempting to shop more once I'm in as the are more spacious and tidy - does that make sense?First they ignore you, then they ridicule you, then they fight you, and then you win - Gandhi0

Try the Jalepeno Coleslaw this is WOW!! Hope they continue to stock it.
Red Onion and roasted garlic flatbread
Pinot Grigio Blush bottle of wine
Also managed to grab a few tins of smoked tuna in EVOO - in the reduced section, unsure how I found that, but at £1.39 these are so delicious.
If you want loyalty - get a dog:rotfl::rotfl:

Yes, I bought that along with the beetroot salad. Both excellent
Red Onion and roasted garlic flatbread
Pinot Grigio Blush bottle of wine
The grey label white Pinot Grigio also rivals many top labels I've drank but is a snip at just £3.99 a bottle“You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time, but you can never please all of the people all of the time.”0
