Ginger Nuts 25p and better than any other i've tried
Trewithen Cornish butter 98p..lovely butter
Belgium chocolate ice cream £1.99 is superb
Bruscheta with Tomato and Oregano 99p
Extra mature cheese 350g £1.95 lovely cheese..
The soft cheese 200g 49p!
Also really like their antibacterial kitchen cleaner 500mls 79p
Their room spray air freshener is very good 49p
Washing powder superb.
Can't believe how good the products are and I feel like a donut
for giving Tescos my money for years0 -
Current good buys for me so far:
Lidl:
Own brand cornflakes
Smooth apricot jam
Thin sliced ham & turkey slices
6 pack (500ml bottles) of Freeway Lemonade (which I use to take to work)
6 pack cans of Freeway lemonade
Chicken soup (tins)
Cans of their Mixed Up energy drink (their version of Red Bull). Just the standard/original flavour. (Have tried the flavoured versions - tropical/lime/some sort of berry flavour, but didn't like them)
Cherry Bakewell Tarts/cakes
Chilled/fridge beef mince (do get liquid fat when cooked, but once drained off, it's fine)
Aldi:
3 pack of lemon cheesecakes (from the fridges)
Lemon Curd (jar)
Cherry Bakewell Tarts/cakes
Pinot Gringo wines (sorry for spelling)
Almat own Washing Powder (bought couple of boxes at start of year & still using them)
Castle Maclennan Smoked salmon pate (I've seen in Asda as well, but cheaper in Aldi)
Tomato sauce
Melts multipack of crisps.
I'm still trying various yogurts from both Aldi & Lidl. Been a bit of a hit or miss with them.
Have bought some beef mince & chicken fillets from Aldi today, to try out at some point.0 -
I think Aldi and Lidl need to up their kids yoghurt game. I have to go to Sainsburys to get what my daughter likes. They need to start making more copy cat products.Dave Ramsey Fan[/COLOR]0

No, your daughter has to start eating what is dolloped on to her dish and to stop being fussy. And you have to stop indulging her.
(What on earth is 'children's' yoghurt, anyway? Or 'children's' anything? That is what is wrong with Britain. I thought we were progressing from such idiotic habits. If you don't want a continental-style supermarket then don't shop there - don't try to drag it down be the same as others. 'Ooh, teddy bear shaped luncheon meat. In different colours.' (I do not want to know how they vary the shades.))

A big thumbs up from me re the dog grooming kit. Both dogs have been shorn. It's been on solidly for 2 hours and worked brilliantly. Cant fault it.This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

A Badger is flaming and trolling. He/she/It get their kicks from getting a rise out of people. Just ignore them.
That's a bit ott. I think A. Badger has made some valid points regarding the thread. Does seem a tad one sided in repect to opinions fair enough it can be argued a lot of happy bunnies but it does discourage a balanced debate if negative comments are construed as having another agenda behind them0 -

Totally agree - the moment that Aldi & Lidl start catering for multiple unecesary "choices" is the moment they start increasing their prices.0 -

Which ones do you buy?
I buy the green pack of 8 for 85p and always find them quite good.
Do you warm them, mine always go in the microwave for 45secs first.0 -
well, I just did a load of Tea Towels with Almat and I can now say that it
is definitely 100% better than Ariel. Brilliant stuff.0
