I switched to mostly using red onions (they are one of Aldi's Super 6 on fruit & veg this week), they seem to have been fine throughout.

I only buy red onions but I find they don't keep very well from Aldi. They go soft very quickly.

Aldi have their "not from concentrate" orange at 99p rather than £1.29 at the minute.

You've said this before. My local aldi doesn't look like a jumble sale. Not at all.

Some of us shop in other shops as well. I like aldi. I like lidl less. I dont like aldi because other people like the store. I can make up my own mind.

Seriously, why the continual putting down of other people's opinions?

What harm is it doing you whether people like shopping in aldi or not?

Really disappointed with the Lidl onions again

The last two packs of white onions have been dry with some rotten, shame as the rest of the fruit and veg is good, so may try Aldi or back to the market.
I wouldn't bother with the Aldi ones. The wife tells me they're frequently bad, even on the day of purchase.

i find Lidl onions are a bit iffy as well as the ones from Aldi. I posted on another thread that Morrisons fruit and veg were cheaper on the things I wanted than Aldi so will see how the white onions I bought there will last

The only thing I don't really love is that Aldi is becoming popular and therefore very busy ALL the time and not just on "Specials" days - oh and the car park is too small (of course).

And the "disappearing" lines. I found some really delicious citrus crumbed salmon steak which I hope they will one day bring back. They simply stopped selling it ages ago in favour of "new lines". Ideal for me as my OH doesn't care for fish (unless from the chippy lol).

On the whole, I have had very few disappointing buys from there.

Incidentally, I bought some of their new CC cream and have already had a compliment about how good my complexion looked - glowing I think, but really good. :D

I'm wearing it too. I cant wear it near my eyes though as my eyes water and sting. Same as all SPF's ive tried, this one is no different. It goes on really dark I have to say but the colour adjusts within half an hour or so. Its no good if I'm applying it in a rush like I did this morning. My left eye is so weepy and sore.

Cant tolerate any of the coffees though. Gold Blend all the way for us.

Popped in this morning for the pet grooming kit on special today. Its worth the price for the accessories (brushes etc) alone. We have had to buy a new hair trimmer as we've killed hubbys hair clippers doing the dogs. He might have to use the dogs' now. :rotfl: Time will tell how good it is.

Wont have to resort to the muzzle I must say but they keep trying to run off. It needs more than once pair of hands to do my dogs especially round their tummies and 'nether regions' cause they would be off.... quick as lightening they are. When I do them on my own I resort to the scissors, grabbing chunks here and there. Hubby uses the clippers and I sit there like an idiot tickling their tummies, stroking their ears - anything to encourage them to stay. Between us we get the job done.:D

Quite a lot of Aldi's lines are seasonal, so that they can stock as wide a range as possible. Their lovely Black Forest Ham is one example, it's summer only. It's possible that the citrus crumbed salmon will make a comeback in the summer. Why not get in touch with Head Office and ask?
