The best buys I have had from Lidl have been furniture.

I have bought several pieces, mainly chests of drawers and smallish white cupboards and they have lasted for years with no chipping or sagging. I only wish they were available all the time. I sub to the Lidl newsletter and every week scour it for any furniture items. I'd snap up anything from them immediately!

Does Aldi sell Balsamic Vinegar? Can't remember whether I've seen any.

Lidl seem to be learning the "big boys" bad habits. Strathvale fresh British beef roasting joints. On the offers page of the website, the price is shown as £5.99 each. However, click on the picture and go to the product page and the price is £5.99 per kg. :naughty:

I would say it's a genuine mistake. They have had this offer in the past and it was always £5.99 per kg. I didn't even spot the mistake and assumed it was per kg.

I take it that you informed Lidl via their contact form before posting here... ;)

Think Aldi is up to some tricks too, I have been buying the ham trimmings for months @ £1.75 for 450grms, now they have a sign saying its reduced from that to £1.65 but only 400grms in pack. No chocolate digestives anymore, no tomato puree, and the aforementioned ham is very hit and miss. O/H bought himself a jigsaw this week, first buy had cracked casing, second one , cracked casing, third one wonky base plate and the adjustable bit didnt work. Lets hope the fourth one is ok. Kinda falling out of love with Aldi.

Couldn't buy sausages in Lidl - they were on a multibuy offer. Argh.

I've assumed that it was by accident rather than design.

And I did contact them. It's better that I spotted it and not someone from a Trading Standards Dept. If they get fined, then that's less money they have to spend on buying bargains for me to buy. :)
If you fold it in half, will an Audi A4 fit in a Citroen C5? :)

I got a couple of craft books for my mum today in aldi, one was a crochet book with a decent amount of patterns plus a beginners guide to crochet as well, plus another craft book, rag rugs etc. There was one I didnt buy, it was a jewellery making one, plus there was a cupcake making book. RRP 9.99, got them for 2.99 each, will ask my mum for the name of them incase anyone thinks they might want to buy them.

Books are called easy world crafts. Got my mum another one today, a knitting one. They also have books on papercraft.

im a ex builder, i should know better.

most of the electric stuff ive had has been ok, but not all and it is annoying, if theres non left its just refund and then you still need the item.
hope this is a better one.

    Yes.

Not tried it myself, but it's definitely on the shelf next to the olive oil.
