Radio Times this week - interviewing various 'celebrities' about where they shop:

Jennifer Saunders: "My recent discovery is Lidl."
    Timothy Spall: Likewise, but Aldi.

Called into Asda and Morrisons today - full of customers, many of whom look down on Aldi and Lidl as downmarket.
Hmmmm......comparing the various sets of customers, not the way I see it. :D

As someone who is addicted to Warburtons Thins for sandwiches, I was chuffed today to see that Aldi have now started doing their own version of Sandwich Thins. 75p a pack, so much cheaper and it also saves me a special trip elsewhere to get some!
I love these, it means eating a sandwich but cutting back on the carbs. Thanks for the tip, next time I'll buy a load and fill the freezer

How do you know? Did you ask them?

    And why would you care?
  • Bought some Aldi Brooklea fat free Greek Style yogurt and, although I'm not vegetarian, was still a bit horrified to see 'pork gelatin' in the ingredients list. Just me?!

Church's Green Ginger Wine was reduced to only £1.99 (70cl) in Aldi.
Might be store specific, but worth a look (if it's your taste).

I think the ginger wine is a general reduction as it was £1.99 in my local Aldi store too.
Aldi Advocaat is now down to £2.99 if that's your thing. I tried it and it's a good one, tastes fine.

Gelatin isn't fat but if you take out the fat you need something else to give it greek yoghurt texture.

Boxes of Baklava at 49 pence a time at Aldi.
    Very popular with my lads.

    Loads of Valentines leftover flowers!

We all love the Warburtons so will defo be stocking up with the aldi version tomorrow.

My recent discovery are the yoghurt covered rice cakes, very yummy as a mid afternoon snack without filling you up too much and not too sickly/sweet either x
