I don't do all my shop at LIDL, but it is my preferred supermarket for the following, which are very good:
Quiche Lorraine
Biscuits, in particluar Custard Cream(double pack 35p)
Belarom range of Chocolate bars
Formil Washing tablets
Garlic (nice fat bulbs)
Cimarosa Wine (South African Cabernet and the Chardonnay)
Prosecco (with the orange label)
Mini Stollens, available at christmas, are wonderful
Fresh baked pretzls from the bakery
"Deluxe" Lemon Sicilian Cheesecake
"Deluxe" chocolate cake
Vitafit Cloudy apply juice is the best
If I am at Lidl and running low on dairy I will pick up their Free range eggs, milk, creme fraiche, butter, which are great.
Crownfield brand cereals have been great so far.
Bottled grilled red peppers
Not so good at Lidl:
Dishwasher tablets did not give good results at all
We tried some bacon once (Glenview I think) and it wasnt great.0 -

You will find that will drop a product even if it has been selling very well for no aparent reason. Then reintroduce it months later.
It might be to keep the suplier on thier toes.
Called in the local ALDI today for half coated digestives to be told they had stopped stocking them.I used to be indecisive but now I am not sure.0 -

I went in for the Dark Chocolate ones but just asked for the half coated chocolate ones, and that was the reply.I used to be indecisive but now I am not sure.0 -
I noticed that the ham trimmings has gone down from 450g to 400g at Aldi. I wondered why it was 10p cheaper!!0

Best buy at aldi was there frying steak, kids loved it and there hand selected gammon. Must buy more while on offer as has long use by date.
Best buy today from lidl free range chicken 30% off was less then £4 and use by date 14 Feb. Have put straight in freezer for Sunday dinner.
Love reading this thread and having been making notes.
Nearest aldi is so popular is really hard to get parked.
My local lidl are selling carmel&biscuits and candy choco and others singly for 9p each.Death comes to us all. When he came to Mort, he offered him a job. MORT by Terry Pratchett.0 -
As someone who is addicted to Warburtons Thins for sandwiches, I was chuffed today to see that Aldi have now started doing their own version of Sandwich Thins. 75p a pack, so much cheaper and it also saves me a special trip elsewhere to get some!"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. We adore the mini bruschetta, which in our Aldi are with the crisps, tortilla chips etc. Not with the breadsticks and crackers where you might expect them to be. I prefer the tomato variety to the garlic one fwiw.Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... I would have burned the pink candle, sculptured like a rose, that melted in storage." Don't keep things 'for best' - that day never comes. Use them and enjoy them now.0

Another week another Aldi shop, all good stuff really really happy and loving the savings! It is my birthday today so I treated myself to a bottle of the £15 quidish cognac, now then! Fantastic, really really good quality cognac, easily as good as any of the £30 brands if not better and half the price!"You can measure a man's character by the choices he makes under pressure"Sir Winston Churchill0
