  • Handy to know thanks, went there this morning was wondering if they might restock but obviously not!
I was talking to one of the SAs in Glasgow Fort who said they may get another delivery tonight, but it wasn't definite

Hmm, guess so, hadnt really thought of that, but I just dont understand why people have to go so mad, all these reports of people blocking aisles and sweeping literally shelf after shelf straight into a trolley just seems crazy to me.

Why Boots dont put a sensible per item limit on things I dont know. Most supermarkets do with their deals, like max 6 per customer (each deal). Boots could do it per item, surely they'd keep more of their customers happy that way and possibly prevent some of the people who cause problems from bothering to go if they cant get as much?

I agree with the above. I truly can't see how people make a profit on eBay, especially on the larger sets as the postage would be quite expensive!

There wasn't much of anything at the Boots I was at this morning and too be honest I couldn't be bothered to check out the one in my city centre. I managed to get a No7 bronzing set, the front cover mirror/lip set and the photo pens (which were stolen from my online order) for 75p each. There was quite a lot of the Danni Minogue set, didn't fancy it myself and the flowery box and bags set (not sure what brand). Bought 2 S&G cosmetics to get the 200 points per item, paid with vouchers and still have £151 in points to spend. I'm sure I'll find something to buy with them!
  • I bought the S&G set with the apron, the FCUK set with the clutch bag (yess!!!) a couple of the carousel sets to put away for DD's friends birthdays throughout the year, a couple of union jack mugs, and some Fearne Cotton eye shadow sets for £2 each. Very chuffed with my saving of £76

yup, castle mall first thing this morning :) about 30 people there, abit of pushing and shoving but not too bad :) imagine the shelves are pretty clear now though but they did have lots of stuff, got christmas sorted for next year. They did have lots of mens gift sets that didnt seem to be going and soap and gloary tins :) went to riverside about 2 hours after and the shelves were pretty much empty.

I went into Chapelfield in Norwich today to pick up a collection of the Philosophy sets that were reduced online the other week and, what a shame, the 75% sale was on and it would have been rude not to have had a look.... was about 11am and there was loads of stuff there, and loads of people. It really was quite hilarious lol. :rotfl:

I was well chuffed with my haul:

Birdcage Mirror (had my eye on that so was VERY pleased to find two on a side stand :T) £25 down to £6.25
3 Womens mini perfume sets - £19 down to £4.74 each
1 Mens mini aftershave set - £17 down to £4.25
Fearne Cotton Make Up brush set in bag - £16 down to £4
Fearne Cotton Eye Pencils - £14 down to £3.50
2 Fearne Cotton Dawn to Dusk Eyeshadow sets - £8 down to £2
FCUK Boxers and Body Spray - £12 down to £3
Cosy Knit Chunky bedsocks with moccasin sole - £12 down to £3
Mini Clube (kids) Red Spotty dressing Gown - £13 down to £3.25
Pretty Birdy Eyes tin - £6 down to £1.50
Lovely Licking Lips tin - £6 down to £1.50
Same design (pretty birds etc) Zip up mini bag with lip gloss - £6 down to £1.50
Hanging Decorative Heart - £6 down to £1.50
Button shaped soaps - £5 down to £1.25

and that was after I had been through the basket 3 times and put stuff back that I didnt really need! Could have got so much more, kind of wish I had now but had just about had enough once I had battled through the crowds for about 30 minutes!!

The SA said incredulously "You have saved £153.75" and then I got a £5 No7 voucher too lol

Wealth can be measured in many ways...not all of them by pence and pounds.;) :happylove
  • Metro Centre was manic. Selves were bare apart from biscuits tins and mugs, but they were still bringing new cages out so it was worth hanging around.
I had a barney with a woman who kept shouting "excuse me" despite there being nowhere for me to move to. An Asian man was squashing people and punshed someone in the face with a box of sanctury stuff.

Why is it relevant that the man was Asian? You didn't tell us the race of the rude woman?
Cogito ergo sum. Google it you lazy sod !!

I think the poster was trying to help paint the scene with a description for the reader, why did you jump on the description of the man rather than the description of the woman who was 'rude'?
    Comping wishlist for 2017

  • I am quite horrified by the tales of people standing by shelves saying it is all theirs!

Me too! would be so horrified Id want to pick up what I wanted (ONE of each!) and politely point out it's on the shelf, for sale, and not their property until it's paid for, and call the manager, incredibly rude and selfish to behave like that, no excuse for that behaviour

Im always mild mannered and courteous .. but would make exception in the case of people trying to tell me they own the shelf! I'd want one on principal! :rotfl:

I asked because I wondered why she or he noticed the man was Asian. Why would you? Why is it relevant at all?

  • Hardly anything left in Taunton but Exeter still seem to have lots (albeit alot of the same stuff ie Sanctuary, FCUK and Gok)! Not a single men's gift set left however - the men in my life will just have to smell!!!!! Managed to get lots for me and my Mum and also for my lovely friend who couldn't get there as she works all day on a Wednesday. Spent about £300 in total so that's £1,200 of goodies to share out. Thank heavens the car was parked just outside the door lol. Hope everyone else has had a good day and are pleased with their purchases x
