Did anyone else here go to the Telford Forge Retail Park Boots??
Oh my word- I was there at 12 (had to work am) and the shelves were near enough completely empty. I had been in there the other day and there was masses left. Today just a load of bars of soap. A few random boxes of chocs and bits that had been torn open (probably in the scrum).
I went to this Boots last year and the year before and the sale was quite tame, you could browse at leasure and get all the bits you wanted.....Not anymore. I expect there to be lots of Boots items appearing on Ebay from the Telford area!!!:j:j

Could I ask a favour, if anyone picked up a No 7 "Skin & Bodycare Travel Collection" that they would be willing to sell, could they please PM me?! It was just about the only thing I really wanted to get, but there were none in the store I went to and being No 7 I don't hold out much hope of there being any at other stores by tomorrow!
They were reduced to £6.25 from £25, and of course I'd be willing to pay the postage too! Just don't fancy paying the stupid money they are charging on ebay! :(
    TIA x

I think the poster was trying to help paint the scene with a description for the reader, why did you jump on the description of the man rather than the description of the woman who was 'rude'?

Well she described actions by both people that would generally be considered rude, but only felt the need to point out the race of one of them.

To use your justification for mentioning race, why does saying the man is Asian help 'paint the scene' for what happened? Why is his race relevent to his behaviour?

Sorry, I don't mean to de-rail the thread but 'lazy' predjudice doesn't half irk me!

;) i got there bout 8.50 - apparantly they opened about 8.45 due to people waiting. Judging by what i saw- not suprised there nothing left- there were already several people with trolleys full and it was difficult to move without getting knocked or hit with a trolley or a bag. As previously described lots of people workimg in pairs- one grabbing and one gaurding ;) A few inconsiderate people but overall pretty civilised. Was defiantely a lot busier than last year.

Did maange to get a few decent bits- most pleased with a lovely pair of leather gloves, no7 make up gift set, photo frames and FCUk boxer and body spary gift sets- found these by the tills- none of the main shelves when i looked.
Am sure i read earlier the town centre branch was very low on stock- not sure about the Wellington retail park one though ?

I'm pleased you managed to both get what you wanted. I was shocked how little was left!! I went to the other retail park afterwards and that was also pretty empty. I didnt really want much but fancied a browse.
Telford will be a boots Ebay hotspot!!!:j:j
Must remember to go early next year....:j

Nice to see some local people on here (Lowestoft and Norwich). I couldn't be bothered to risk going to Norwich only to find empty shelves, so just popped into Beccles. Its very small anyway, but I got some nice Fearne eye shadows and some ted baker make up sets too. My mum got some Royal jelly sets. They also had a lot of make up sets with women on the front (sorry no idea of the make) but they had a lot of them and crackers too oh and also some botanics sets. It wasnt busy at all and I would expect there will still be stuff in there tomorrow.
I feel boots has now gone like Next, sales are all rubbish. It was only a few years ago and I would get all my smelly sets and the majority of toys in the 75% sales. Those were the days....

It all seemed very friendly at P00le this morning. I didn't see anyone taking more than 2-4 of each item, and no shoving or rude people that I saw. I don't think anyone was buying for Ebay. I filled a little trolley, spent £95 which was much more than I meant to, but I have a lot of pressies sorted, and stuff to last me all year :-)
It was busy though, I popped back over at about 11am to get another S&G set, and they had all gone, and not much left at all.

The only downside was I had to walk 10 mins home with it, and I bought more than I could carry!

Went to Kingston Upon Thames Boots about 5pm today and there was actually a lot left. Half the shelves were empty but still loads of S&G sets with the apron, Umberto Giannini, loads of mens gift sets, lots of mugs and food sets, carousel boxes and different body sets. And of course entire walls of Project D stuff, gosh Danni Minouge can't be happy. Also got loads of perfume sets left and reduced perfumes not in sets, DKNY, dior, kenzo, loads more brands.

I got a few Dove sets cause I LOOOVE the go fresh range and it works out a bit cheaper in the sets at £3(how can they justify £12 for these? or even the £8 they go for as everyone buys in threes), some mugs and a few prezzies. I was looking for vit c and shots for ages but obviosly someone had beat me to it as there was one vitamin shot left in the whole store.
Living cheap in central London :rotfl:
