I managed at Merry Hill to get some goos things like the Playmobil knights set that is £18ish on Amazon for £2 because the box was bashed! A 4 drawer Gok Wan smelly stuff boxed set for £2, an elc kids washing machine for £1.50, several other bits of playmobil, some joules jam for 25p, gu truffles 25p a box, and lots of other stuff, soo glad I went after seeing it on Martins email today saying it was starting today!!
  • Went into the Market street Boots in Manchester at 12 and it was crazy! Ripped open boxes everywhere, horrid people shoving you out the way etc. Not nice! Wasn't too much there, no make up sets, no s+g :( Managed to get a Sanctuary box of goodies and a Botanics wash bag set but thats all. Only spent £10 though so happy really! Nipped into the tiny boots on King street as well and they had nothing left apart from a couple of the perfume sets.
Roll on next year! Will try and get in before workl rather than on my lunch hour and see if it any less manic I think :)

I went to the Aberdeen Bon Accord centre today. I arrived at 9 am and it wasn't too busy, everyone was polite too. The store opened at 8.30 and although I only arrived a half hour later many people had heavily laden baskets, some had the big blue bags, and others had two baskets on a trolley thing. I was amazed how much people were piling into their baskets, given the fact the had to carry it:eek: Though as other posters have said many people were shopping in pairs, and I think if you have a helper or pal with you its probably easier. I purchased some Gok toiletries first, the pale pink one that has lots of little drawers like a jewellry box, got two of them and two FCUK ladies gift box sets, also some small gift sets of the project 8 stuff. By the time I got this my arms were aching and I had to go back to car. Went back again and got some mens FCUK , some more GOK,mens Hackett sets, bronzing sets, and lip glosses, Mens Bench gift sets etc etc. In all I made 4 trips from shop to car, simply because I couldnt carry everything, definately need a buddy next time:D

I also found myself looking at other folks baskets and seeing stuff and thinking "where did they get that, I havent seen that", then going up and down the isles looking for it, suddenly because somone else had it, I had to have it:rotfl: how mad is that. Have to try and get there for store opening next year though as obviously the ones that were going to the till when I arrived had some great stuff. Shop Assistant said that as they lifted shutters today people were running under them:eek: Thats true sales devotion eh?

Anyway I went back in about 1pm and a lot of shelves were very empty and store was a lot quieter, I asked Assistant if they would be putting a lot more out tomorrow, but she said she didnt think there was much left, whether thats true or not who knows.

Would just like to thank everyone for all the information regarding the sale on this forum, and also for all the entertainment, its been very funny at times:T:T:T
  • I went into my local boots at around 9.30. Mad people around pushing everyone out of the way!!

I filled my basket up with lots of random stuff... queued up... then walked out the queue and put everything back. :S

Suddenly thought - Im really skint until payday so its best not too buy anything.

I WAS SO PROUD.... (yet so sad)

  • Wakefield store shelves almost empty apart from ripped boxes. One cage full of the sanctuary boxes, managed to find one FCUK with patent bag :D No S&G :( Whilst looking in toy aisle which was completely empty they had brought out another cage of the carousel things. Also had quite abit of the projectd(?) gift sets.
  • I did not buy as much as other people. Here is what I bought, I went after work.

Striking Parfum, silver purse and Lip gloss set £12 now £3
Thomas 3 piece bath set £6 now £1.50
Glitterbabes pink girls bag was £5 now £1.25
Project D gift set includes body wash, hand and nail cream and body butter was £10 now £2.50
Red domed Ring was £6.50 now £2.50

Absolutely gutted that this isn't online this year. Working long hours, mum in hospital no way I can get to boots until the weekend and probably not even then.
