Popped in to Parkgate Rotherham, just to have a mosey this morning with my little one after the school run. Nothing left except for gu crackers, carousel and a few dannii sets. Only around 4 peeps looking but the rude woman in front of me had her basket at her feet shuffling it along down the centre of the isle everytime I attemped to get past her with the buggy. For christ sake woman you can have all the rubbish your so desperate to salvage. I'm a classy bird who likes to stick to Sanctuary, S & G and the wonderful smelling GOK lol.£1 a day/£365 2011

As for eBay, I wouldn't buy any Boots product on there, especially now I know how most of these people managed to get hold of them.0 -

It was really awkward getting the buggy round all the people. I did see a lot of people with masses of stuff. I too didnt think there would be many people there as Sunderland hardly gets mentioned on here. I had a look in that store last week and there wasnowhere near as much out as yesterday so obviously they put loads more out. My daughter works in the bridges so I dropped off my bags at the shop where she works and headed to the Metro Centre. By the time I got there, there was still plenty of stuff but I only needed some mens gift sets so just got 3 of those. The SAs were keep bringing out crate trolley things with lots of stuff on but were getting cleared within minutes. I would have liked to have been there for it opening (lots more stuff) as I saw lots of lovely things in peoples trolleys which Id not seen on shelves, especially the mens gift sets. They really must have had loads when sale started. It was absolutly manic in there yesterday but might have calmed down now. Someone posted on here yesterday t time saying not much left but SAs bringing out the cages all the time so still might be worth popping in there.
:)
I was in Boots again this morning and really surprised to see all the sale shelves bare. All that was left was christmas cards, tags and wrap. When I got served I said to the SA 'it's quiet in here today without the sale stock'. She said 'yes I'm pleased all the stock went by 10.45am yesterday'.
I was hoping to get the red Sanctuary case. There was loads there yesterday but I couldn't carry anything else and by the time I put everything in the car I was exhausted! It didn't help that I was parked 10 minutes away from the Bridges, it felt like an hours walk with the heavy bags as she put two of those sanctuary boxes in one bag. By the time I got back to the car I really couldn't be bothered to go back!
I don't think the Metro will have anything left either as that's where everyone heads when sales are on as you can usually get what you want there.A home without a dog is like a flower without petals.0 -
Guess they wont be having a 90% off sale then
. First time Ive been to a 75% off sale at Boots (didnt even kow about until I joined here) I dont think Ive paid full price for anything since :rotfl:There was loads and loads of them Sanctuary cases your on about at Metro when I was there but doubt there will be any left now, never mind we will just have to look forward to next year now

Nothing noteworthy left in my local either"A cat can have kittens in the oven, but that don't make them biscuits." - Mary Cooper

In the tiny Boots on Allerton Road (Liverpool) they had quite a lot of those mens' miniature aftershave sets (Ted Baker, XS etc) marked at £17 so would have worked out £4.25. Also one set of women's miniatures think that was marked £19 so would be £4.75. Nothing else in there though! At best of times they only have one rack of stuff - now only quarter of a shelf!
ETA: this was about an hour ago, not yesterday!0 -

It was the first time I have been to the 75% off sale too. I didn't know there was one either. I always go down on Boxing Day and get what I want. I did get a few Sanctuary sets Boxing Day just gone but the ones I purchased were sold out before the 75% off sale so pleased I got them.
I don't think those £40 Sanctuary sets I bought are worth half price at £20 never mind £40, probably the reason why there was loads there yesterday. There wasnt many of those in the 50% off sale but they were obviously hidden out the back as they were all over yesterday, even downstairs. I really wish I got the red case instead of two big boxes so I could have carried them in one shopping trip.A home without a dog is like a flower without petals.0 -
I usually do - my old purse was nearly bursting, so I transferred things into a bigger purse for me going manchester and took out all receipts and vouchers - d'oh!0

Totally agree vicx (Igot the box one too) All the stuff I thought was never ever worth the full price.0

I agree, the Sanctuary red "leather" look soft vanity case at £25 has three things in - THREE! no wonder they had tons left.0
