The rules should start with
1 Who needs a leisurely hotel breakfast when you are not sure where the Boots store is and have not sussed out where the goodies are
2 when you see someone coming towards you in the street and say the words 75% and she grins you must break into a fast gallop as the sale HAS started
3 you must grab what you want not come and ask whether to get something...it will have gone ..when ones wife is adding up the prices of the bits she has balanced in her arms and tucked under her chin due to no baskets
4 you should retrieve baskets AT ONCE when asked to stop aforesaid balancing act by wife
5 You should get in training for the next years sale just in case you are off
6 you should not keep telling your wife about the great bargains... she knows this and now can not impress you with Boots bargains on your birthday and Christmas!!!
Mind you he did help carry the bags so that was wonderful as I got several boxes of biscuits etc to use as raffle prizes and they took up so much room and I love him really!!
Mine's trained already - he has to be as I cannot get leave to go to the sale. You should hear his tales of daring & courage afterwards - sounds just like his post-rugby match boasting!I can cook and sew, make flowers grow.0 -

I worked for Boots for 14wks in a temp Xmas position and what happened uite frequently and could work for the sets at 75% off was that customers who bought items on an offer would bring them back as individual products and with no receipt could exchange for goods to the value of those they were exchanging ( at their full price )
eg : The Big Splendor Pamper Set by S&G went on special @ £25 - it had just over £80 worth of products if purchased seperatley. So after the event we had customers bring back many pf the products individually and get ful price exchanges on them for other products. They usually asked for the money to be put on a gift card , this was refused but they did offer products in exchange.
Perhaps that what other people are planning to do with the sets at an even cheaper price !0 -
Went into Meadowhall, Sheffield yesterday around 3.30pm and suprised to find anything at all! They still had quite a few aisles full, although all mens stuff gone and perfume etc. I did manage to get some Sanctuary Spa £25 sets, and some £8.00 sets and some Belgian chocolates for £1.50 which were nicely packaged and well in date until September . They had limited Christmas cards and wrap @75% off Lots of Boots own brand toiletries-soaps, lotions and body wash etc. Went in at 2.00pm today. Still a couple of aisles of stock, mainly Boots Own gift bags . ALL Sanctuary Spa sets, cases, etc had gone and they literally had loads yesterday evening. I went last year early doors and could n't believe the scene. Aisles were packed, you could n't move up/down, you could n't reach the shelves and trollies were being stacked by a few people throwing stuff in seemingly, at random. I do feel Boots should put a limit on purchase to give everyone a chance, or say a maximum of 6 on any one item. I know a Manager at another branch and 2 women were literally fighting over 1 item and she withdrew the item, so neither of them got it! Ridiculous! I feel sorry for the staff. The staff at Meadowhall were lovely on the tills in the afternoon, chatty and friendly despite the traumatic day they'd just had!Well Done Boots staff!0

don't know if this has been mentioned but there is very, very little in the great yarmouth industrial estate boots. Just a few soaps and some tatty broken sets.0
