if you're missing your magazines then try the library. I know it's not easy choosing books with a small child in tow, but George (yes, that's right, George and I'm sorry I forgot to phone you), likes helping me choose. It usually means that I get 4 books I want to read, and last month one of his choices (he picks 2 for me) was actually very enjoyable.

I do often visit the library with DD - she loves it as it has a small wooden train that has books in it - she's obsessed with trains...lol. I'll have to let her choose some books for me too, she'd love that. It might well broaden my horizons so I read something other than chicklit!!

Good plan - plus a flask of coffee or hot chocolate to keep us warm!

Quick update - I paid £40 to the door stop collector last night for HSBC. I really need to start paying more so will try to come up with a plan!
Have decided to sell my Escort (the cheap car I bought) as whilst it's diesel, it's more to insure and also DD is cramped in the back. Her feet touch the front seat even with it pushed forward as far as it will go. So I've advertised it for sale at £1295 (paid £700) so if I get £1200, I can pay DD back her £700 into her savings account and use the rest to clear BF's CC.
The Astra is in for it's MOT 2moro.... more money to spend:mad: but it needs doing. Then I'll get it serviced next month and keep it. It makes sense really as I'd be paying out £2000 - £2500 to get another car which wouldn't be much newer than the Astra plus I'd still owe DD her money and BF's CC.
Aiming to have a NSD today....

I've just taken out life insurance with Sainsburys which will give 5000 Nectar Points and I did it through Quidco for £70!!! Fab. The premium is £6.34 pm.
I need to start doing more through Quidco so get some pennies to pay off the debt."Nobody made a greater mistake than he who did nothing because he could only do a little." Edmund Burke

Well my Astra went in for it's MOT on Wed and cost £66.98 incl the test fee so pleased with that... it cost me £200 last year!! :j
I've sold some free vouchers on ebay that sold for £14 so will withdraw that and put towards the MOT. Going to try some bingo sites today... my challenge today is to make as much as I can to pay for the MOT. Wish me luck. I'll post my total later.
Have just withdrawn my paypal balance.... there was £22.22 so after fees to withdraw I've got £21.97 going into my bank.
£45.01 to find.... wish me luck!"Nobody made a greater mistake than he who did nothing because he could only do a little." Edmund Burke

Have done Foxy Bingo and didn't win anything and waiting for the Mirror to credit my account so I can try my luck there. Trouble is I'm at work so can't really sit here and join any more sites!! Will have to think of another way to make some money....x"Nobody made a greater mistake than he who did nothing because he could only do a little." Edmund Burke

Sneaked in the People bingo and didn't win anything either!!!
So much for getting my MOT for free!!
One good thing tho my Quidco has tracked the £70 for life insurance through Sainsburys, so yay! x"Nobody made a greater mistake than he who did nothing because he could only do a little." Edmund Burke

I applied for the A&L savings account through Quidco and it's tracked the £20 already - and I've also requested an appointment with Hillarys blinds for another £20 which hasn't tracked yet. Yay I love free money!!
Escort is on ebay.... had 2 people ask for a buy it now price so far, so fingers crossed that will go soon.
Edited to add - I've sent a letter to DCA dealing with HSBC c/c offering them £500 as a full and final settlement. I can use some of DD's savings to clear this. Fingers crossed they accept."Nobody made a greater mistake than he who did nothing because he could only do a little." Edmund Burke
