What kind of rust is it? Light surface rust or deep penetrating rust? Take a torch and look up the end of it...is it rusty inside? Does it look structually intact inside?

I've not had a good week!!
Firstly DD been poorly, she went down with it last Sat, and was only better yest. She had D&V and her ear inf from previously hadn't cleared up, so she's had different anti B's.
I had the car serviced on Wed, cost me £213 which incl an engine flush to try and improve the fuel consumption.
Thurs I put it thro a car wash as it was filthy (I don't normally bother!) and the car wash ripped off my rear windscreen wiper!!! I went into the shop and the lady said it's been doing that to Astra's..... why didn't they have a sign up? Anyway I've filled out a form and am awaiting to hear from them, they'd better repair it!
Then I got home to find a letter from HB, for some reason they had my tax credit lower than they are, which has caused an overpayment of £188  so not only does my weekly payment go down, I'll lose £10pw to clear the overpayment, so will be £60 per month short. AND, my council tax payment is £130 instead of £85 this month. I'm worried I won't make ends meet this month. Plus it's my Mum & Dad's birthdays and Mothers Day... argh!!!
Plus my npower bill was ready for me and I've used £198.21 of gas from 1/12 - 11/2... I pay £40pm so I'm hoping that they won't increase the payments just yet.
And I don't feel great, I had a touch of DD's bug but wasn't actually poorly but I keep feeling queasy and a little faint.
I'll sit down over the w/end and come up with some figures and see how things look. Debt payment is going on hold this month that's for sure!!"Nobody made a greater mistake than he who did nothing because he could only do a little." Edmund Burke

Jesus Tigz, thats a pretty crap week you've had !!
I'd be absolutely livid about the car wash, any idea how long you have to wait to hear about that? Why is the council tax so high this month?? Can you pay the extra over a few months or does it have to be done this month?
Hope things start improving this week!!Mortgage Total: £51,549 / £75,000

CT is high as it's the last payment, should've been paid 1st Feb but I delayed it to 1st March, should've been £85 but they've taken back some benefit. But I need to look into it as I was only getting a small amount anyway!

Had a good day yest, OH and I took DD out on the bikes, we went out into the forest. Then we went to my friends for lunch which was lovely.
I've had a look at my money this month and it's going to be tight!! I've got the doorstep collector coming tonight and I haven't got any money for him. I don't know whether to answer the door and tell him the reasons etc or to not answer the door. I'm worried as I'll be on my own and I don't know if he'd get nasty?? Anyone know?"Nobody made a greater mistake than he who did nothing because he could only do a little." Edmund Burke

Well I spoke to debt collector last night, told him I'm very short at the moment and having to re-do my budget etc and told him the reasons, he was ok about it, thankfully OH was there so I was brave enough to answer the door.
I think I'm going to borrow some money from DD's account this month to stop me stressing about money. I'm going to make an effort to not use the car if I don't need to so I can save petrol."Nobody made a greater mistake than he who did nothing because he could only do a little." Edmund Burke

Thought it was about time I updated my diary.... shame on me!!
Not much to report, I managed to pay debt collected £80 last week, he's due again on Monday so need to put some by for him.
OH & I have bought a 2nd hand laptop and we're getting connected to BB at home which is going to cost £22.50 per month incl line rental. I know it's an extravagance, but I miss it so much at home, plus by coming on here more often I'm hoping it will motivate me more to clear my debt.
I haven't sold anything else on ebay lately, mainly because I can only do it at work. I am doing a boot sale on the 4th May so busily getting things ready for that. But anything I get from there will be out spending money for the sun hol we're going on in May, £68 for 4 nights for 3 of us... fab hey?
I've also been busy with a friend, working out setting up our own business... so watch this space. x"Nobody made a greater mistake than he who did nothing because he could only do a little." Edmund Burke
