;)Where is everyone? Is it me? Do I smell?:rotfl:

    I'm here :D

I've not been posting much as I don't have much to say!! I've been doing a little crafting, but last night I had a very satisfying stamping session where I grabbed most of my new stamps (there really are too many) and started stamping out some images for myself to play with. Half the battle with me when I lose my mojo is that I can't be bothered stamping and cleaning stamps, so now I have loads of images that are ready to be coloured whenever the mood takes me :D

Remember ladies, my challenge lasts until this weekend. I'll go through the thread shortly and note down the entries, so please shout if you want to be entered! The challenge theme is I Had To Have It - so use those craft items you had to have so badly you bought them on a whim and then never used. That's most of my stash I think :rotfl:

thanks for the reminder about the challenge FF - had forgotten all about it - I've found loads of stuff that fits it - hangs head in shame

Am so fed up with it persisting down all the time - I still haven't been able to get out in the garage!!!!

I need to pick your brains ladies - I'm going to do a craft fair on 23rd June gulp!
I remember someone saying that cards didn't sell all that well - for those of you who have done them what would you be tempted to buy - papercrafts, cross stitch, knitting, sewing etc bearing in mind that I do have a house move to fit in lol

    Do girls still wear scrunchies?
Do you think Cross stitch cards would sell?

I have some notebooks in the pipeline DD has made some bracelets I have the sewn stuff I've already made
    keyrings?
    post it note holders?
    tealight holders
    boxes of cards?
    Cushions?
    Stuffed hearts?

fold up shopping bags in pouches?

Any ideas would be gratefully received :D
Officially a non-smoker but still rounder than recommended :p

Padster - I've never done a craft fair so not sure how useful my input will be, but as a customer I think you are right about cards not being a good seller - if you need a card, you need a card, that's appropriate, not many buy for 'stock' and if you are at a craft fair you aren't usually thinking about someone's upcoming birthday. I guess near Xmas Xmas cards would sell better IYSWIM.

I'd definitely go for the more novelty type of crafted gift, per your list. Instead of stitching the cross stitch cards, if the design was simple could you make up your own kit, say a card blank in a range of colours & apetures*, aida, needle & thread with an already done one to tempt them to try? And maybe a selection of peel off greetings for them to choose from? (just realised - think Asda are doing fish like this? :o:o) *If you had your bug there you could cut apetures to suit say round or square depending on what sold? As long as the thread & illustration were matched.

I think fine pouched shopping bags would be good - much nicer than a plastic bag in your handbag.

Not sure about this..... but I always think there should be 'novelty items' for boys at craft fairs but have no idea what they like!

Ok! I've wittered enough I'll slink off now.......

Morning ladies - awol as usual :)

DOn't know anyone in real life who will be as excited by my 10 year wedding anniversary present as you lot so I thought I'd come on a nd share - it's a Workbox :j They are down to £850 for the really big one at the moment and mine's coming tomorrow - yippee!

Very romantic weekend planned - we're staying in the Legoland hotel with our 2 boys - it's really their birthday treat but the timing is amusing!

    Happy Crafting all
