Afternoon all, can't stop but wanted to let you know all is well! :) This sonographer also thinks we are team blue! Will update the list now.

I hope all has gone well for you too kitten!

I'll be back later to catch up but it's DH's birthday today so I should really give him some of my attention instead of being on here all day :)

Turtlemoose: Thanks, I know the most important thing is that baby is ok and she is fine in there, Im just getting uncomfortable, was thinking of refusing induction and saying that I just want to wait but I can't imagine still sitting here next week waiting!

Topic of stretch marks, I have loads, first 2 arrived on my belly when I lost 18 pounds due to morning sickness at the start of the pregnancy, haven't counted but I think I have about 20-30 of them and every midwife I see comments on them! Thing is im 5ft 10 and bump is really neat and quite small looking so wouldn't have expected to get so many. I put bio oil on them but it doesn't make a difference so will deal with them once baby is born! I am really pale skinned so hoping that they will fade and blend in with my whiteness!

You're a perfect example of how stretch marks are just one of those things. It's all dependent upon the amount of elastin deep in your skin and no amount of moisturisers or bio-oil will prevent you getting them if you're prone to them. Moisturisers etc. do help a little once you do have them - they can slightly improve how stretch marks look, plus it's nice to have well-moisturised skin anyway when you're pregnant because it reduces the likelihood of itching.

They will fade. In a few years they'll barely be visible (and they'll improve a lot before then too).

    Hi ladies :hello:

    Maternity leave is lush :D

Although I have been on reduced hours at work for a few weeks, it is so lovely to not have to worry about going in and struggling on in pain. This morning I have been to the post office to post some ebay parcels and am currently having some blinds installed/fitted. In approximately 30 minutes I shall be back in bed with tea and cake :) And I'm feeling pretty pleased with myself too - yesterday my lovely sister helped me decorate the bathroom so it is now looking all fresh and sparkly! :)

Alizee - many many congratulations, Isabel is so beautiful :happyhear Thanks for sharing a piccie :)
Emsbet - yay for team blue!
Hope Kitten's scan is going well and big hugs to Cheetara, MissMoney and Hannah :grouphug:
Looking forward to hearing baby news from gtothec soon!

Hope everyone else is good - haven't seen whowants2brich post in a while; if your reading, hope your wife is doing well :)

    Afternoon all :)

Wow, you ladies have been chatty this weekend :D

Alizee Congrats :j Isabel is gorgeous :)

Emsbet Congrats on team blue :D Hope Kitten_Pie's scan went well too :)

(((Hugs))) to all those who need em due to pain/discomfort/other

I have been to consultant appointment this morning and all is well :) Have been booked in for c-section on the 6th June so am going to be queue jumping by a week, sorry about that :o Feeling a bit scared now as it means its only 23 days til I have a baby :eek: Feeling a lot more real all of a sudden :rotfl:

Went to see Avengers at weekend, it was ok; didn't like Capt America as expected but Robert Downey Jnr was lush ;) Only problem was that with every loud noise in the film, bump decided to boot me in the ribs so I came out feeling very bruised... it brought a whole new meaning to 3D :rotfl:

    Hi all,

    Congratulations on team blue Emsbet!

Our scan went well too although they were running late. We are still team pink and looking pretty definite that it will stay that way.

Have to give the laptop to OH as he is working from home today but lots of love to everyone and I will catch up later.

I bought some maternity mats the other day for the bed, as I really don't want my waters to break all over my new mattress. I sleep fairly neatly so I doubt my bottom moves too much during the night. However, I'm not really sure just where my bottom resides (between my legs and body obv, but you know what I mean).

I had a cunning idea of lying in bed in my usual position and asking the other half to measure from the end of the mattress to where my bottom is so that I can position the mat in the optimum place.

He's looked at me like I'm barking mad. :D

Yep. I'd say it's highly likely that your baby won't change its gender whilst in the womb. :D
