gtothec braxton hicks don't come in regular patterns! better ring the hospital and tell them baby is on it's way lol. good luck xxx plus if you felt a pop and something leave you, this could be your waters going and dribbling a bit. so deffo ring the hospital and get seen
wishing you all the luck in the world!

It sounds like labour to me, if it hurts like a b1tch and those pains are regular! Good luck today GtotheC :j
Good luck with scans today Emsbet and KittenPie.
After a not too bad night I have woken up with agony in my hips, so I am really glad I started maternity leave today. TMI ALERT - DO NOT READ PAST THIS POINT IF YOU'RE EATING BREAKFAST/LUNCH/ANYTHING ELSE
I am also glad to be off today so I can go to the doctors this morning....have been having itching and irritation down south which has been flaring up and calming down over the last week or two but has been unbearable over the weekend. I didn't think it was thrush (which I've had before) cos it's too high up for that but apparently it still could be as it can affect anywhere in the groin. Been reading up and apparently changes in PH and being generally hotter in pregnancy can cause this a lot. Either way I've been endlessly washing, changing knickers constantly, wearing panty liners, not wearing knickers or panty liners, using talc (apparently not a good idea so stopped this), applying every soothing cream I could think of and generally being utterly miserable about it. Have reached the point where I will now flash the growler at a (lady thank god) doctor today in the hope of getting a vat of something cooling I can sit in....I can cope with SPD, I can cope with constant acid indigestion, I can cope with crying at adverts and game shows for no reason, I can cope with feeling knackered all the time, I can cope with sore boobs. I can't cope with this itchy soreness another day thoughHas anyone else suffered with this? Sorry for making anyone's nausea worse. Bit surprised at myself for admitting to this.....

Morning ladies
Thanks for all the nice comments on the cakes, I'm dead chuffed with how they turned out! Student_Mrs, top and bottom tiers were fruit, middle tier vanilla sponge and the cat cake was chocolate fudge cake. nom nom nom.
Thanks for all the advice re:bleeding, I'll ring the midwife this morningNothing so far today, which is a relief.

Hugs Cheetara, I'm not suffering too badly with it at the moment but I used to suffer with thrush relentlessly and it is vile! Speak to your Dr about it as they are best to advise you, but the things that used to help me was taking acidophilus daily (as a preventative measure once it is under control) and eating live natural yoghurt. Try and avoid bread/yeast and sugary things and this will affect the natural balance of bacteria and could make it worse. Hope you get sorted soon.
Congrats Alizee and that's a lovely name!
Good luck Embset and Kitten for your scans today.
SM as other people have said, just give it some time and don't beat yourself up for the way that you are feeling. OH and I were convinced we were having a girl when we first found out we were expecting, and everytime someone said that they thought I was having a boy my heart would sink and I would think that I was an awful person for feeling that way! We didn't find out the sex so it's going to be a surprise, but since the first scan we just got it into our heads that we are having a boy and we're now excited by the prospect of either!
Felt some movements at the weekend, but nothing regular or really 'definite'. We're meant to be going away at the weekend, but OH started complaining of severe back pain yesterday evening (about half an hour after making the bed). he took some painkillers and managed to fall asleep but kept waking up in the night and could hardly move this am. Called NHS direct but they said they would get anurse to call him back within the next ten hours (I know it's not an emergency - but 10 hours!) so have had to leave him in bed with a huge bottle of squash next to bed and some snacks cos he is not going to make it down the stairs today. He's had more painkillers but they don't seem to have done anything - hate seeing him in pain, and a bit worried now that if it doesn't get any better in the next few days that will be our week away cancelled. Will just have to wait and see how he is later - I did say if he could manage it he shoudl try and keep mobile but the pain is excrutiating so he says he really can't manage it.0 -
cheetara yep i went through the same thing a few months ago. it was complete hell. Itching and sore and inflamed. If possible push for a pessary I was given cream to start with and it only helped on the outside, the pessary was a god send! you have my sympathies! xxBad mother to 2!

Morning ladies!!
Whoo GtotheC sounds like its labour for you!!!
Cheetara I've no useful advice really, just ditto what the others have said really. Hope the doctor gets you sorted.
MissMonkeyMoo yay, it's so exciting when you first feel movements. It took me a couple of days to be convinced it was baby and not just wind tho!
MissMoney I really thought it sounded like things were kicking off the other dayI've no idea what the guidelines for sweeps are to be honest, but worth asking. If you don't ask you don't get!
Good luck for the scans ladies!
OH informed me this morning that he's sure he felt bubba move twice! I was still sleeping however so feel a bit sad I missed this. He's not sure, but like I keep telling him it's not going to be definite "kicks" as baby is still small. We've a couple of friends who are over 30 weeks so it's very obviously a kick or punch IYSWIM. And bubba is doing lots of moving in there this morning, maybe he's swimming training for the Olympics?
In a different notes, I noticed a stretch mark  actually OH noticed, was hoping it was a mark from trouser digging in or something, but nope. So OH got a telling of that he had been slacking in the moisturing tummy duties lol. I've got stretch marks elsewhere, but white ones but this is pink. My sister got terrible stretch marks all up her tummy so I was expecting them a bit. Its not that I show off my midriff or wear bikinis, but I was hoping to have a few more weeks without them.
Must get around to ordering a swimming cossie today. Am doing LO Canterbury next week, just for three nights will will involve a spa day. It's OH's bday so it'll be our last treat before baby comes and last little getaway being just that two of us. Looking forward to it very much. OH is getting very stressed at work so I nice break is just what he needs.....I think so Anyway!
Hugs to all and big labour vibes to those who are near popping xxxx:j Baby boy arrived 22nd August 2012 :j

Morning ladies!
Good luck gtothec - sounds like something could be starting. Hope you get Mummy cuddles soon.
Well this morning I checked my nightie (navy one this time, so more obvious than white) and again I have a patch on my left nipple. Is it normal for only one side to be leaking though? Could it be because I'm sleeping on my left side that it's being squashed or something and this is why? Sorry if TMI.
Bean has been kicking a lot this morning and last night - obviously making up for the lack of movement the previous days. He definitely seems to kick close to mealtimes, and more so if I haven't eaten - he's already demanding his food. lol
The cat seems to have gone off me a bit again, and has taken to sleeping in the spare room - think it's cos I've not been home to have afternoon naps with him, and also possibly because the weather has been to warm for him to sleep with me. He was still guarding me when I went to the toilet the other day - he does it in a very respectful way though, and sits with his back turned. lol
Hugs to all who want or need them, and labour vibes where appropriate.
