    Morning ladies!

Well this morning I checked my nightie (navy one this time, so more obvious than white) and again I have a patch on my left nipple. Is it normal for only one side to be leaking though? Could it be because I'm sleeping on my left side that it's being squashed or something and this is why? Sorry if TMI.
    sexymouse xx

yep it's normal for one to leak if you're sleeping on that side :) very often I will only leak from one nipple if sleeping on that boob iyswim. I have big boobs anyway and I have taken to sleeping with a towel beneath me to save the sheets lol! I will be having to sleep with breast shells in soon i think!

  • LMM lol, know what you mean! Because baby's movements aren't all that regular, Iwasn't sure if what I felt WAS baby or not! I've had sensations previoulsy, but this felt a bit more definite! Baby's been quiet today so far though, but feeling a bit icky today.

Put on some maternity trousers for work this morning and now I'm sat at my desk I realise that they are too tight! I have had to undo the top button and feel massive and depressed now, even though people have been telling me how tidy my bump is. I'm going to swap to leggings and just wear them from now on! Or get trousers with an elasticated waitband, none of this buttons and zips malarky! Been struggling to do up my shoes and boots too - can't bend over to reach and so am resorting to twisting my foot/leg in such a way that I can bring it up onto the bed and do it from there, but a lot of the buckles are still out of reach!

Was very piggie over the weekend, so trying to be good now but I just want a massive bag of carob raisins! Think it's because I still have a bit of a horrible taste in my mouth and cos I'm feeling a bit down. Had massive bags of sweets at the weekend when we went to the cinema, and also scoffed a big tub of Ben and Jerrys phish food and a small tub of Ben and Jerrys Oh my Apple pie ice cream (which I can highly recommend!) albeit on diff days. I am a comfort eater, I can't deny it!

Heading off to Morrisons in a bit to get something yummy from their salad bar for lunch, hoping that my appetitie will have come back by then!

    Hugs to all x

Cheetara hope the doc can help you out. I have managed to avoid thrush, but 'down there' has certainly done some funny things in the last few months, nobody warns you when you get pregnant that your bits will get a mind of their own!!

LMM I thought I had escaped with my few re-used stretch marks on my hips, but a patch of them has appeared next to my belly button :( noticed them yesterday and had a terribly over the top hormonal reaction to them of course. OH was really nice about it, saying he can hardly see them and theyll probably fade etc, but I'm still quite sad today, I know I'm probably being silly but can't help it.

37+5 today, first day NOT at work....how magnificent :D I have a big to do list for now until baby decides to come, but today, day one, is very deliberately a duvet and chocolate day.

    Hello All
Just had a quick read back through the thread..
Gtothec: Sounds like things are happening for you so good luck!
Cheetara: Feel for you as you know I had thrush the other day and it is awful, mine literally cleared up overnight with the use of a pessary so hope dr/midwife prescribes one for you :)

Well had my third sweep this morning and it was so so painful, has made me really nervous for labour now. Anyway midwife said it's unlikely to work and she'll be surprised if I go into labour naturally before my induction on Thursday. Cervix is very posterior and closed but softening and starting to efface according to my notes. Having a fed up day now today, feels so pointless being 'rummaged' with just to be told it's not going to work. I am now bleeding which is normal after a sweep and I didn't with the other two. We shall see. Just had a nap to make myself feel better but just feeling really grumpy.
I asked the midwife if I get induced Thursday (14 days overdue) is there a point that I will get to when they will say the baby has to come out. I kind of thought by Friday evening/Saturday morning but apparently as long as baby is ok then they will just keep trying to induce me until it happens. Hoping first propress pessary works because the thought of all the waiting round in hospital and back and forth to hospital for various methods of inducement does not fill me with happiness. Has anyone any prior experience with propress pessary and success rate?
Sorry for another moany post hope everyone else is ok.. :o

hannah27 (((huge hugs))) I'm really sorry you're feeling so carpy. It was a bit bad of the midwife to say if the sweep would work one way or the other really, at least if she'd of just said it may or may not, it might not have left you feeling so down? I'm sorry I have absolutely no knowledge or experience in inductions. seding you more ((hugs))

Thanks Miss_Money, as soon as I got in the room and she was asking me how many days over i was etc I said to her that I know it's not gonna happen and I'll be here on Thursday! So I kind of didn't expect it to work anyway! xx
  • MissMonkeyMoo I thought all maternity trouser were elasticated? Don't be down though, i got lovely leggings from new look. I feel a bit Simon Cowell as they go over my bump right under my boobs lol. But find what ever you feel comfortable in.
Turtlemoose the annoying thing is I wouldn't have noticed them, it's right under my bump. Oh well! OH was lovely, well he has to be otherwise he knows he might get a slap lol. Enjoy your first day off, choccy and duvet sounds like a good plan :)
Hannah these sweeps sound horrible, I just think of the midwife there with a prickly broom. I really hope things start happening for you soon. Can't imagine how frustrating it must be to sit there waiting for something to happen. No experience here of any induction, but from what I can gather the success seems to vary from each person. Bigs hugs hun

Hannah I know you must be feeling pretty down, but as long as baby is ok (which it must be or they wouldn't leave you) then maybe it's just a little too comfy and not ready to come out just yet - my sister went something like 17 days over with one of hers, she refused to go to hospital for induction, and eventually went in to labour naturally, her personal opinion is that baby came when she was ready to :grouphug:

LMM I cant see mine either when looking down, I noticed them in the mirror. I suppose it's better to know about them now and come to terms with them, rather than think we got away with it then notice them with a shock after the belly subsides!!

Little_miss_moneysaver: I think I am just a wuss! and hurt more because cervix was so far back.
Turtlemoose: Thanks, I know the most important thing is that baby is ok and she is fine in there, Im just getting uncomfortable, was thinking of refusing induction and saying that I just want to wait but I can't imagine still sitting here next week waiting!

Topic of stretch marks, I have loads, first 2 arrived on my belly when I lost 18 pounds due to morning sickness at the start of the pregnancy, haven't counted but I think I have about 20-30 of them and every midwife I see comments on them! Thing is im 5ft 10 and bump is really neat and quite small looking so wouldn't have expected to get so many. I put bio oil on them but it doesn't make a difference so will deal with them once baby is born! I am really pale skinned so hoping that they will fade and blend in with my whiteness!
